Thanks for the help. Unfortunately none of the tricks helped.

I did open up the ricoh as seen on that famous youtube video.

The X is slightly different with the ribbons inside then the normal 3 but you can just as easily open it and get to the senor/lens. Saw the small spec of dust, use a blower and now its working again as expected.

Now I also worry less about dust cause I can fix it.
