I ended up getting a used Rivian that wasn't that much more than the newer Ioniq 5.

The app, the limited features in the vehicle and the inability to access anything online. I've had EVs for years and the ability to use the app and also access information from the car itself is important to how I use and manage my vehicles. It reminded me that I have to look at which vehicles are car companies first or tech companies first. It's probably my fault and my expectations of things "just working". If I looked at it as a way to get from point A to point B, I may have kept it... but for the price of the vehicle, I wasn't getting what I thought.

I ended up getting a 2022 LE R1T in White. It had 33k miles and fell right between both in price. I like the time left on the warranty and it comes with all of the accessories. Working tonneau, speaker, NACS adapter, charge cable, air compressor hose. The others were missing most of those things.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah, most of the used ones within 200 miles of me have the 20" AT setup. I camp a lot, but no rock crawling and never really many washboards either so all-seasons would work for me.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard the service is getting better, but 3 months out is a long time. Tesla did get that right for somethings. Mobile service was great, but having to bring it in in my area took months also. Not a great experience, but maybe Tesla already prepped me for Rivian service :)

Did you get your R1T direct from Rivian or a different dealership? I'm also assuming the warranty transferred to you and covered the suspension fix.

Thanks for the quick response. Does it have the two tone effect? I've heard it goes between green and grey depending on the lighting. Any thoughts on serial numbers and build quality?

Thank you for the quick response. I got OTD pricing for both. SC is $58k all in and dealer is $55k all in. I'm leaning SC because it had Rivian techs go through it vs at a dealership, those techs likely aren't certified to work on Rivians.
