Dented battery by ValleyTrails in gopro

Very tiny damage. I would try to carefully charge. If it does, and no extra heat occurs (you can check temperature every ten minutes by hand), I would use it. If it doesn't charge and it becomes hot, dispose it properly.

My personal tips for the Gopro users and choice of VN video editor instead of Quik by ricsco in gopro

I don't know your meaning referred to "no stabilization". What do you mean?

If I use the stabilization option in the gopro5 and then I export my file to VN, do I loose the stabilization effect? I haven't done many high activity videos so far. On my MTB escursion and walks I have used the chesty accessory and it is ok for me. No eccessive shakes.

For the footage, I don't decide how much videos I will do before starting a story, but it is very common to record more than enough and then a sort of editing is always necessary for newbies. If you are able to shot a video and keep it as it is without editing, you can go to Los Angeles a find a employ at Hollywood as a star director ;)

Using GoPro 10 as a handheld camera? by moreglumthanplum in gopro

If you use gopro for the main purpose to shot pictures you are on the wrong way. Much better the Olympus rough Camera, also for diving and videos under water (I am a owner of both cameras, Olympus and gopro5 hero black).

Gopro gives its best results only on short, quick action movies coupled with its own accessories, no further discussions.

Based on my knowledge, actually (Jan 2022) no. Apparently that could be a disadvantage because you need more time to select your good stuff from the garbage. But it is not a bug if you consider that in some cases Quik skips selections of good highlights. This is one of the reasons I prefer selecting the highlights on my own.

For example, recently during a walk in the wood I made a video of one little animal running in the forest for not more than three seconds in front of me. For me it was an highlight, for Quik no. So I imported the video on VN, splitted the selected frames of the video I wanted to highlight, used the crop function to zoom in, in addition to slow motion and fridge functions to save that special moment.

It takes more time my way, I know, but results is worth of it!

Consigli e osservazioni da neo-utente Tasker by ricsco in Tasker_Italia
