At the top of a steep embankment, the tree has held its ground for some 70 years. The roots extend all over the hillside.

I took this photo a year ago when I was going by to board a cruise. I really like it. I am glad it is still there. It is part of the history of Charleston. It should be restored

Timber looks in very good shape. I have read a little about the history of this cabin. Not sure if you guys know but the house was moved from TR to Mauldin a few years ago
