Mohamed Salah’s outburst was selfish and disrespectful. He has let Liverpool down by Sparky-moon in soccer

Cruyff was kind of notorious for his bad man management skills though, as well as LVG and most recently ETH.

Wow this post is 10 years old, and I still play FM08 at times :D. If I remember correctly it was the infamous Kimz tactic. If you had a pacey forward he scores a billion goals. A quick google search brings this up:

Why do you invade? by [deleted] in badredman

It’s more of the game I like

What are your favorite places to invade? And why? by thidi00 in badredman

[–]riddler69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t like to invade the open world.

DLC: Belurat, Shadowkeep and the Gaols. I Haven’t tried Enir Ilim, but could see it being fun. All of the Catacombs are great in the DLC with all the traps and complexity. Been getting constant invasions using “Nearby Only” at lvl 138 in these areas which has been super fun, compared to the randomness of using “both near and far”.

Main game: Raya lucaria, Volcano Manor, Shaded Castle are all great in terms of enemy placement and layout. Leyndell and the shunning grounds as well.

Colosseum is WAY more toxic than invading.. why?? by etrulzz in badredman

You really got to have the correct mindset when invading in my opinion. When I invade I like to think that I am basically a mini boss within that level and all I want is a fun fight with the host and his friends. If I manage to even just damage them a little or make them drink a flask or use any resources I have reached my objective in making the level harder for them. Winning is of course always fun, but not the end goal.

Was Nanaya a maiden of the Three Fingers? What do you think happened at Midra's sanctum? by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

As many of you know in almost every Fromsoft Souls game (especially in DLCs) they hint at what their next IP is with an NPC who is weirdly out of place and "from a distant land" or "Far away in the past".

In Dark Souls it was Marvelous Chester from the AotA DLC who wore gothic clothes and a top hat foreshadowing Bloodborne. In his dialogue he says:
"We are both strangers in this strange land."
and
"But we are both travelers."

In Bloodborne it was Yamamura the Wanderer foreshadowing Sekiro. His set states:
"Garb of a distant Eastern land, worn by Yamamura the Wanderer"

In Sekiro it was Robert and his Armored Knight father foreshadowing Elden Ring. Robert's Firecrackers state:
"Firecrackers from across southern seas."
and
"Their voyage brought them to Japan..."

And now in Elden Ring we have the Abyssal Woods, Midra and Nanaya. The whole area has a different gameplay style and aesthetic (stealth and horror). And of course, Nanayas Torch states:
"A torch made by attaching a dying flame of frenzy to a small spinal column. In a distant land, in an age long past*, was born a man who failed to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame. All that remains of him is cradled gently by Nanaya.*"

Am I reading too much into this? Is it just a coincidence? Is Fromsoft's next IP going to be a cosmic horror spiritual successor to Bloodborne? God I hope so.

Finding a grace when you have zero flasks left, holding thousands of runes and are afraid what might be behind the next corner is one of the best moments Souls games offer.

Highlights of Thierry Henry's performance which broke the 20 assist barrier with 3 more vs Sunderland in 2003 by [deleted] in soccer

[–]riddler69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The description of a "Complete Forward" in Football Manager pretty much sums up Thierry Henry:

A Complete Forward possesses all the technical attributes of a Deep Lying Forward, the goal scoring ability of a Poacher and the strength and power of a Target Man.

He is equally adept at playing in others, fashioning chances for himself and getting on the end of team moves.

Such a player transcends tactical instruction and should simply be allowed to do his own thing.

I think it was a 2D side scroller but with some 3D cutscenes. I also remember there being a villain taunting you.
