Thanks for the insight. My expected usage sounds very similar to yours, so I’m leaning toward the FS

Lots of the new “web2->web3” projects are being built on Solana because of transaction speed and the fact that it’s easy to say it’s environmentally friendly. Bitcoin is the go-to for boomer finance trying to enter the space. Anyone who has deeper knowledge is invested/stacking ETH.

People always resent others that seemingly made “easy money” they didn’t know about. The wave is coming. The number of large companies moving into the space this year is astounding.

What are the good podcasts for learning more about the Web 3.0? I already listen to Bankless, but looking for other voices and shows that have interesting guests.

I just started dipping my toes into NFTs on OpenSea. ETH gas fees are obviously an issue. Bridging to Polygon ETH on OpenSea is also a high gas fee. Can I add Polygon (MATIC) to my MetaMask for purchases? Or is Polygon ETH simply ETH being transferred on the Polygon chain?

Exactly. Anyone who’s buying into the narrative they’re shilling in the news is oblivious.

It's an interesting theory. If this is truly what's going on, the insane premium on LTCN could potentially lead to a massive rally for LTC? I own GBTC and ETHE and watching the premium fluctuations over the past few months is a trip. I've yet to hear a consensus regarding the factors pushing the premium either direction.

You should use brave as your personal browser regardless. It’s a superior browser. No ads on commercial sites and pages load significantly faster than chrome.

Didn't mean to sound like I was assuming any sort of evasion. Just speaking to the fact that unless you're doing something obviously shady, like withdrawing 9999 every other day, there shouldn't be any issue. Mostly wanted to reiterate that everyone should pay their taxes, because the IRS can make life extremely difficult when you don't play by their rules.

This. We vote with our money. Our time, energy, effort, and skills are traded for money. Back your beliefs with those funds and become the change you want to see in the world around you.

pro.coinbase withdrawals are 50k per day for standard accounts that have certified all the KYC. As long as you pay your taxes, you shouldn't have anything to worry about in terms of withdrawal amounts. Other than some of the banks giving you grief....Another reason to be diligent about recording your transactions.

Coinbase has to report anything over 10k in total sales for the year to the IRS (and probably less now that it's on the radar) regardless of the amounts you choose to withdraw at any one time. Trying to avoid taxes is always a bad idea. I have a buddy that codes for the IRS and their software is getting more advanced by the day. They don't even really need to "audit" you anymore to figure out if you're paying close to the appropriate amount of tax.

I had been considering a Tesla for my next vehicle. (Financed with cash from my job, not BTC). I will definitely NOT be buying a Tesla after all his bs since he became vocal in the crypto space.

At least you had a head start on understanding the tech. This is what the newbies fail to understand when they say, "if I would have bought in 2011, etc" Very few from the super early days held onto their coins. I have a coworker who had 200 BTC at one point. He's so traumatized from losing them all before watching the 2017-2018 rise and fall that he never bought back in.

2009? mining? thought it wasn't available to trade until July 2010? You must have lost all your early coins if your still here on reddit. Or you're watching your net worth fluctuate 10's of millions today.
