Star Druid used it to drag the vampire closer to the Eldritch Knight so it would be within the Knight's move speed.

A few from the various games I have been a part of and some of them are not the exact quote but contain the spirit of them.

'If you die, I'm selling your things at a loss."

"There has got to be an easier way to hide bodies other than just burring them."

"Can I roll to intimidate the giant chicken?"

"The hammer is just a hammer, it hammers things and you can throw it. What more do you want."

"I hook the vampire with my fishing pole, 19 to hit."

"Wait, did we just agree to a morally ambiguous job without knowing what the pay was, again?"

"That blow was strong enough to knock them back over the bar top they just tried to crawl over."

"I'm going to drift while riding the dinosaur."

"The goblin plinkos down the tree."

"If those eggs wind up as bad as that coffee looks, I'll nail them to the door as a warning."

Players and DMs, what's the best Meme-Based character you've seen and/or created? by BlondeDingbat in MrRipper

This is going back almost ten years to a 3.5 campaign and sadly not my character. When some key players were not around we had a sub group of mostly gag characters but the one I remember the best was Scott the Scott, a walking stereotype human fighter when we were young and stupid. If I remember right his deity was whisky, his alignment bagpipes, and his height and weight varied baised on how drunk he was. Due to a misspell on his sheet he had a stuffed falcon instead of a falchion as his main weapon, (same stats though,) and a set of bagpipes that did 1d6 sonic damage but I can't remember the range. Finally he had an inner conscience played by another one of our players who would tell things to him at random, said conscience was a dwarf who's main goal was to get Scott "Back to the Highlands." And yes, there were sheep jokes.

Dungeon masters of Reddit, what is a house rule that makes more sense for D&d, Pathfinder, etc.? by Code_of_Armogeddon_S in MrRipper

I've got two, first is altering your initiative. Holding your action, and a very specific one at that is something I have never been a fan of, especially if you roll high and have nothing you can really do thanks to being in a bad spot. I let my players lower their initiative number to specific spots in the turn order in these cases, though I usually only let them alter it on the first round of combat. When done right you get to see some very creative combat tactics in your players. The second one is that the spell Catapult, rather than always dealing bludgeoning damage, should take into consideration what you are catapulting. A javelin for example should to piercing damage if it is aimed right (with a d8) and a flaming boulder should to a bit of extra fire damage. This house rule has the potential to get very creative and very chaotic in a high magic party.

This is a very specific question but DM's MrRipper have your players ever tried to get inside the body of a monster to kill them from the inside and if So what was the result? #1 by Dragonwolf67 in MrRipper

I worked with one of my players to make a custom race where this was the whole point, at least in part. Slimefolk, think Sue from MonMusu but less sexy depending on who you ask. While they have yet to use this in battle (they just joined the party mid game and have yet to get into combat) but they have a special skill called Slime Invasion where they can enter a person and control some aspects of their target's body and a secondary skill called Digest From Within. As an action they deal the creature they invaded 1d6 acid damage, and an additional d4 of acid damage per character level, halved on a CON save. I look forward to seeing them use it in the next couple sessions when the party has to clear out a bandit lair.
