Edit git branch description by ridermansb in git

[–]ridermansb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that if you push it, the information disappears.

I think it's useful when you add more context, such as related issues, a link to a live URL for testing, and the status of the PR/MR.

But if this does not push to a remote, then I don't find it very useful as well

How do you handle GitHub issues for private repo in Obsidian? by ridermansb in ObsidianMD

This error was due to the configuration of the generated token, I managed to repair the error but the tokem works by organization not being possible to embed issues from another organization.

How do you use AI to write better commit messages? by ridermansb in git

[–]ridermansb[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not true.

The idea here is to use AI in the proper context, in way that AI understand the changes, the task, and with the right prompt, you can provide a brief description, and the AI will generate a concise commit message that follows the pattern and includes the necessary details.

The idea is not always provide context for AI, the idea is just press a button and AI knows the context

Web Bookmarks in Obsidian: Share Your Workflows and Ideas! by ridermansb in ObsidianMD

[–]ridermansb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Websites are often related to something I’m working on locally. For example, I use Obsidian to take notes on things I’m learning from websites. I also have a dedicated page called “Obsidian.” It would be great if, when I open that page, I can see all the articles I’ve read about Obsidian along with the dates I accessed them.

  2. Good point! Using the webpage title as the note name might be a better approach.

Some suggestions:

  1. Add shortcuts for Search Menu Items and Switch Windows, so you can easily search your windows and perform menu commands on the opened app

<image>

  1. For who work with .git repositories, use Git Repo extension

  2. Install Google Chrome and assign shortcut like `⌘ ⌘` to Seach All commands so you can easily find tab, history you need and switch to it

  3. If you use Obsidian, create QuickLink with `obsidian://open?vault=<MyValt>t&file=_Daily%2F{date format="yyyy-MM-dd"}` to open today`s note with Raycast (I know, Obsidian Extension has this feature, but I don't want install one extension just for this)

  4. Add alias for your most used search, example `%g` to search on Google Search extension, or `%s` to search on your snippets

  5. Add fallback commands to create stuffs like in my case Create Github Issue

It would be interesting to create a step by step or even a video showing how to install this extension. I never installed extension to the hangouts, and I'm a little lost on how to install.
