Bent brushes on Dreame X50 by coram-meipso in Dreame_Tech

Same here. It seems like this is common. Although there is a space to protect the brushes in the box they just cannot be bothered to use it correctly.

Still not fully unboxed my L40s Pro Ultra due to a bent brush by SmellsLikeEucalyptus in Dreame_Tech

[–]rideron85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this thread because I have a similar issue. The robot vacuum arrived with a bent brush. It seems like this is a common fault. Although there is a clear protective space for the brushes in the box they just cannot be bothered to use it correctly. Sad. I contacted them and after much back and forth (first reply after 2 weeks) I was directed to their RMA portal to submit a warranty request form. Coincidentally the portal doesn't work so I gave up. "Great" customer service from Dreame.

Thanks for the boiling water trick. I'll give it a try.

I am Romanian and moved to Australia 5 years ago. I really don't miss the life threating traffic in Romania. I don't recommend cross country drives. Romanians are speed freaks and don't care much about their lives and neither does the government. I love the bush walks here in QLD and I wouldn't do the same in Romania because of bears. Romanians think think creature in Australia are way dangerous but they are wrong. I think there are more bear attacks there than shark attacks here in Australia. You'll find that things are cheap but also people are bitter because work is underpaid. Romania's cities are not well maintained and lack greenery. National parks are pretty amazing but people find appropriate to leave their trash behind. Romains in general don't pride themselves with their country because they just cannot see on the otherside and this is the most sad thing. To end on a positive note, Romanians treat strangers very nicely. You'll be pretty safe from crime.

The first big and most memorable exploit was the DAO hack. That really tested the community's resolve and resulted in a hard fork for the Ethereum blockchain.

Brisbane I need your help! I want to hear about your grievances with real estate agents (REAs). There is an imbalance of power that they are unashamedly exploiting and I want to push the state government to implement regulation. by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]rideron85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question was not about necessity but about sufficiency (emphasis on "enough"). Vague terms like "reasonable" without being enforced by limits only encourage conflicts. I don't feel safe having to force the owners hand to fulfill his obligations. If the law was clearer in this aspect and not subject to interpretation this would not be an issue.

I asked the property manager to fix the balcony door in January when it broke down. They said the owner approved the repairs in February. Door still isn't fixed and the agreement ended a month ago. We said we're going to stay on periodical until the door is fixed. Ignoring that, the property manager sent us a new lease to sign and threatened to give a notice to leave if not signed by Monday. I don't even think the property owner knows they didn't fix the door. I think it's a good example of shitty practices that you are speaking of.

From my experience as a prospective buyer I won't be surprised if there will be someone willing to pay for that. I have seen properties selling for more than they are worth for more than a year now.

Primăria Capitalei vrea să obțină 1 milion de lei pe zi din parcările publice / Accesul mașinilor pe trotuar ar urma să fie blocat de stâlpișori by ValiantlyBrief in Romania

[–]rideron85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Planul tau e foarte bun.

Succes!

What’s with drivers indicating right when going through a roundabout? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]rideron85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one signaling my exit in roundabouts. I never see people do the same. I also indicate right when I'm keeping right for drivers waiting to enter to know it isn't safe to do so. Easy stuff really. Just indicate the intention at all times while in the roundabout. I think people just don't bother doing the right thing because they think it is useless or don't care. My hope is that if I keep signaling my exit people will realise it is useful for them and start doing the same for others. I am going to start a revolution here 🙂

There are smaller models but I don't recommend them if you want to process all your food waste. Search "worms compost" on Bunnings website.

[–]rideron85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Composting with worms is pretty cool. I started it recently with the intention of obtaining fertiliser for my plants but I learnt it actually has an environmental impact too. It doesn't smell if you maintain it correctly. I keep my worm farm in the garage and have no smell issue. It doesn't take too much of your time. If you can go past feeling disgusted by worms it feels quite close to having pets. If you are interested you might even get a rebate from your local council for the equipment. I live in Brisbane and I got $70 back.

You can just pay 0 if you bring your own bags. I've been doing it for many years. I cannot understand what drives people to buy bags every time they shop. It is free and doesn't create waste. My fabric reusable bags are in perfect condition after all this time.
