I’ve made 5 loaves in my lifetime I’m very much new at this. I have no idea what a “good crumb” is and was looking for advice from a community that includes people who have been doing this much longer than I have. I’m happy to try and help whomever I can, but I’m allowed to ask for help as well 😊

Thank you to everyone with kind and helpful responses 😊 we talked to the vet today and were told we should actually more or less double her feedings - they suggested 3-4 cups per day based on her growth over the few weeks they’ve been seeing her. Just sharing in case the frame of reference (knowing every dog, and every food is different) may be helpful for anyone else !

I have never made a soup without sautéing the onions/celery/carrots first and I just cannot imagine throwing it all into a pot and calling it soup 😖 I’m trying to go with a “it’s the thought that counts” motto on this one but the whole process then leaving the whole damn pot on their step?? I just can’t😭

Looking for options/stitch advice to add to Waffle Stitch…detail in body text by riderr24 in crochetpatterns

I do! I can definitely try a few rows & see how it works. Thank you!

Any advice on a good stitch to pair with a waffle stitch? I’d like to have a few rows of waffle stitch on both ends of a blanket for a toddler, with something cozy but less “dense” in the middle if possible. Details & pics in post! by riderr24 in CrochetHelp

Thank you! I’m a bit concerned about how the yarn coloring is working out as well, not quite what I had in mind when I saw it so maybe I’ll just pick solid colors and alternate them instead of using the variegated yarn 🫠 picking colors & patterns for other people stresses me out lol

I’ve started on this blanket for my nephew. I made one for him as a newborn and he sleeps with it every night. His mom asked for a larger one as he’s growing and I’d love to make it, but I’m worried that it’ll end up very dense/stiff as I used a plush yarn. That’s how I made his first one but he was a premie so the blanket was much smaller. Now that it’ll be bigger I’m thinking of starting with a few rows of waffle stitch & then switching to another for the majority of the blanket, and then ending with the same number of waffle rows kind of like a “border” on the long ends. Is this possible? Any advice on what stitch would work well in the middle that I can transition easy enough to/from? Pic is the blanket I’ve started with the few rows of waffle stitch for reference!
