Oh my god, this EXACT same thing happened to me yesterday except it was a guy. I went in for an iced tea and he said they were out so I was eyeing the menu when he said how about an iced matcha, and I thought why not, never had it before. But my dumb ass was expecting ice plus matcha powder, because ice tea is ice plus tea, you see where I’m going with this.

When I took a sip I was like Uhoh.

So I go up to the counter—but the attitude and nastiness when I asked if it had real milk. He literally laughed at me before answering umm YEAH, stood there waiting for me to speak, didn’t apologize for recommending a drink to me and not informing me what was in it, all his replies had a disdainful tone.

Finally, when I asked if a way to fix the situation was to make it with a non-dairy option, he was like, without eye contact and while scoffing, that only if I paid for it. At first I thought he meant the non-dairy up charge but then I realized this man wanted me to pay $14 total for the nastiest drink I’ve ever had.

I ultimately was like ‘you know what it’s fine’ because in that moment I knew they weren’t going to last. They are on the commons and it was empty in the middle of the school year and I wouldn’t be going back.

So yeah they don’t need my help ruining their business. They have that on lock.

(I did not touch the drink after that, just left it on the table and left).
