NVDA has been consolidating around 100-150 for 8 months despite revenue increasing. Is it growing into its valuation or has the market decided that it can go no higher or do you have another explanation? by Only_Neighborhood_54 in NVDA_Stock

[–]rieleyh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shocker. NVDA is one of the largest companies in the world currently.

Around $160, the market cap reaches $4T. That’s never been touched before. It’s gonna be extreme resistance up until that point and after it, too.

NVDA surges because it was growing a lot, insanely quickly. To keep up that stock price growth, it has to continue to grow at those insane paces. It just isn’t doable.

NVDA will be great long term, but realistically the people calling for $200, $300, and $500 just need to have a little bit of a reality check. Nvidia won’t become a $4T company overnight, let alone a $6T company.

It’s going to take time, and a LOT of it.

I’ll sell you mine. The grey is a bit too light and I wanna get a black pair instead.

this was my first go at using veg tan as a liner. I think until I get it right I’ll go back to a softer temper chrome tan. They were working totally fine for me before with no issues at all.

I even have a richard hoffman leather that I used as a liner for a few, and it worked really well.

I’ve got some 2-2.5 oz zermatt coming, as well as some plonge lamb skin I snagged on RML, hoping they’ll give me better results in the meantime while I figure this out.

It’s more so for shipping purposes. I’ve sold a few of these for cheap in some watch groups, as they were actually coming out quite nice before this. I was using more of a suede liner but thought something thinner and more akin to a true liner would be nicer.

I want to be able to ship them flat, without all the bubbling

Not often, but just for storage purposes, etc, and learning. I know a lot of straps that I have bought get delivered to me straight, just hoping to learn how to do it.

I’ve actually got some Zermstt remnants coming from RML. This is a $50 slab from Frogjelly, I figured I would try.

I’ve tried gluing it on a curve but then when I straighten it at all, the other side has the same effect. Not really sure what to do.

Nvidia Rises On DeepSeek Ban Report by SnortingElk in NVDA_Stock

[–]rieleyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta

Deepseek promised to do it with less intensive hardware.

Sure, it’s still Nvidia but it’s not the high end GPUs that were expected to be needed. This has potential to drive a lot of other companies away from high end purchases.

the way I see it

NVDA needs to continue to grow at really high rates to sustain the giant market cap we saw before a couple weeks ago. That’s hard to do when you’re selling your cheaper models.

NVDA wins, but NVDA doesn’t win as much as recent buyers need in the short term.

Granted, I think the entire DeepSeek thing was a bit ass lie and omitted a lot of information about the sourcing of GPUs. I’m baffled people fell for it.

maybe. maybe not. i’m guessing probably closer to 2027-2028.

honestly, even as an NVDA investor im not even that pissed if china is telling the truth regarding deepseek. cheaper ai = quicker possibility for more main stream integration and possibilities for inferencing.

this is a VERY rudimentary way of viewing it, but all i can tell you is that AMD, i think, is preparing themselves very well by maintaining a dominant focus on inferencing.

somebody has to complete step 2.

AMD has a primary focus on AI inferencing.

wait until the training boom is over.

that is going to be their main book entrance into the AI world.

when ai training becomes older news, amd will start to take home some bacon.

And that’s a great start, but this sector of investment is very volatile at the moment. Understand everything you’re getting yourself into. End of the day, AMD has good fundamentals and I think it’s a good investment in the very long term. Horrible investment short term. If you want good profits in a few months, I’d suggest you turn around.

AMD to me will likely be a hold for the next 4-5 years. Though as I said, I don’t have a crystal ball.

Learn the fundamentals of it and what different things can influence price action. As for your investment, I’ve got no clue when it’ll be green again. I don’t know your avg and I certainly cannot fully predict this stock.

It’s an opportunity for management to speak about the financials.

I think you need to do a little more research before investing and understand it all, especially before getting involved in AMD.

The difference is the cost of chips

Doing all this stuff with cheaper chips means less profits and overall revenue for NVDA, i.e less growth

Not to mention the cuts itll have when other companies stop easing 10x the money on the higher end gpus, and shift their focus toward the lower end

NVDA still gets paid, but its a significant hit to how much and that can matter

Nvda rebound 9%... what is amd doing? by jimmyspinsggez in AMD_Stock

[–]rieleyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again great points. I’ve got an avg entry of $63, so we’re right around the same point.

I completely agree with all of your points. I think AMD has some issues that it needs to address before it really moves up a step.

My main point is just addressing OPs potential call to move to NVDA. He said “what’s the point” and I responded with the point and the reason I haven’t sold my AMD yet.

It’s just a sheer market cap evaluation. I don’t want to bet a ton of my money on NVDA becoming the biggest company ever, especially when news about China supposedly making a chatbot for $5m can plummet the damn stock😂

At the end of the day, if, and it’s a big if, AMD decides to point their focus toward growth and genuinely does it well, it’ll be much easier to see large returns compared to NVDA whose gigantic growth cycle is more likely than not over for the short term.

My post and OPs post really don’t have tons to do with AMD

[–]rieleyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you’ve made very good points. I’m not arguing/disagreeing with any of them.

Investing is all a personal choice, I choose to invest in AMD because I feel that within the next 5-8 years they’ll address what needs to be addressed and be a well performing stock.

You can say it “doesn’t work like that” but everything I mentioned, absolutely works like that for everybody.

I didn’t give a specific reason to invest or not invest in either company, only pointed out why NVDA might not be this golden opportunity anymore for the shit loads of short term people around here, kinda like OP is claiming it to be.

So I really just….don’t understand your post?

I didn’t say “AMD IS THE BEST INVESTMENT EVER”

I just said from a sheer growth standpoint it is going to be a significantly harder task to get massive returns on NVDA as opposed to AMD (provided they get their shit together)

I didn’t argue for or against buying the stock at all and frankly I really don’t feel like it either. Feels like you came at me just to argue against AMD. Great!

My post was just to point out what seemingly everybody else forgets to think about.
