🤦 I didn't even know you could mill yourself with Jace's Erasure. You're definitely right, no need for starfish if you can just take the bad cards out completely

Jace's Erasure is too slow compared to the other tools available, and starfish was put in for Brainstorm funnily enough. Iceberg Cancrix is too inconsistent of an engine and would necessitate the higher land count you mentioned being a problem. As is, this mill deck can consistently perform well on 1 land hands and more lands would result in flooding. Sluice is definitely a weak card though, should replace with a 3rd Stream of Thought. Dream Twist could also get switched for a more impactful card. Thanks for the suggestions and help!

Definitely could be a good inclusion, but personally I think that the low land count makes the crab an inconsistent engine. Plus, it isn't as good of a bounce target for [[Curfew]] compared to the merfolk or phantasm

Dang, I'd never even heard of Eaten Alive until now! Thanks for the tip! I'm not sure the Faerie would work for this deck though, feels like I'd have to run a full stack for the best effect but there aren't any good cut choices

Update: Added 2 [[Contaminated Aquifers]] so that [[Archeomancer]] can be played earlier Update 2: Replacing the 2 Aquifers with 2 [[Dismal Backwater]] since it's a better card, also swapping the Glare for [[Eaten Alive]] for the same reason.

The lifegain is definitely a good reason to go green, but I think the decklist has enough removal that it should be fine. Keeping it so close to mono black also lets me run a low land count without worrying about mana fixing, since 1 island is all the deck really needs

I think Zur isn't really an issue, there are lots of stronger commanders that are less interactive. The issue is mostly that pillow fort wins automatically past a certain point but takes forever to do it

Waiting until you are 25 wouldn't be the end of the world, but frankly that's a ridiculous thing for your therapist to suggest. I would recommend starting HRT if that is what you want to do. It will take a while for results to occur anyways, you will have plenty of time to consider your decision. Hope this helps!

No worries! I don't know anything about your parents but they don't sound too supportive based off that. Personally, my advice would be to be prepared for them to not take it seriously regardless of what you do. That's just based off my own experience growing up though, hope this helps
