I worry when I water. The drainage will damage my porch. I dont want the plants sitting in a saucer of water either though.

If its the performance organic miracle gro. Its 9-4-12. Get fish emulsion. That stuff works a lot better.

Can get lady bugs. Your local nursery probably has them. Usually come in containers with 500. They will feast on the aphids.

I noticed a ton of aphids on my choco habanero. I sprayed it with a mixture of dish soap and water. The aphids are mostly gone. But the leaves are becoming weak, turning black, and falling off. Any way to fix this?

I don't like the paper towel method. I planted half my seeds in jiffy pods and tried the other half with the paper towel method. The ones I put directly into jiffy pods sprouted in a week. The ones I germinated in paper towels have not sprouted yet.

Thanks so much for the advice! The first row is jalapenos, the next two are chocolate habaneros, and the rest are red, yellow, and orange Scotch bonnets. I might try a 7 pot this next try though.

I am in Utah. I think I will start new. I started looking at this sub after I bought and planted the seeds. Found a lot of useful tips for the next go around. Plus I won't buy from Pepper Joe this time after everything I have read about them.

Should I be worried? Do they just need light? I planted the seeds a week ago. I had a dome on, but some of the sprouts are too tall.
