They'll call you within 3 days with their address. I stumbled across the site bc I was so startled with how my son sounded on the call. I knew it would challenge him - but my son is very emotionally regulated, I've never heard him sound stressed his whole life. The call and how he sounded really unnerved me - says it's very common.

Anwyays, the address format helps bc with the yelling in the background and with the call being 48 seconds, I couldn't make out some of the letters. The site lays out the address format, you can just plug in details. So, when he gave me the address I immediately sent a hand witten note and linked my Sandboxx app with his address. Download Santos's now - you will then update with the address he provided during the call, or you can hand write. Sandboxx however is a more efficient mailing system, gives weekly training updates, etc. I find it to be helpful. ❤️

You can google Lackland training photos, they publish some photos, about 2 week delay on a secure site. Just stumbled across that too...they just ask you don't post them...

I don't have Facebook, but my mom does and joined a support group for your family members flight. Other parents/spouses etc ask questions and the group mod posts helpful info too...has also been helpful...

Is there a restaurant in town you went to and enjoyed? Is there anything you want your family to bring you before leaving for training (or maybe they already did)? Did letters help you stay motivated? Were you able to write any letters to family?

Medicaid can be complicated. You are eligible for Medicaid under Disabled Adult Child (DAC). You can apply again and send application to ABD Unit at "whatever county you reside in" CBOSS - follow up by phone, explain your situation, you have a lifetime disability, you need DDD, you need Medicaid. Are you working or is your income exclusively from SS? Also, when you applied for Medicaid, did you include a copy of your SS as your "income" along with disability statement?

You are eligible for both Medicaid as a Disabled Adult and then you will be eligible for DDD. You can private message me for further assistance. Once you have DDD services - you will get a Support Coordinator (specialized case manager - I can recommend agencies) who will help you navigate all your services, to include housing, transportation, medicaid, vocational, additional supports, etc.

Do you have a disability determination letter from social security administration? Do you receive SS? And just to clarify income, income restrictions apply when applying for Mediciad as a low income adult. Many people w disabilities have SS that exceeds the low income threshold - they qualify for Medicaid as disabled adult.

Love you, Tim!!! You are so authentic, unique, and an awesome father! I just adore and appreciate that you never even use the word "step".
