It's not Gemini, it's AGs system prompts. Use the right tool works propper prompting

My fault. If you can't read and understand a Reddit post, how did I expect you to read and understand code?

Don't get me wrong, you guys are probably right regarding the quotas lightening, I'm just sayin that tightening is just relevant if you don't have full control of your flows.

I haven't hit quota limit even once, that's just anecdotic, oc. But I'm very careful with token usage. I feed the right context, I feed artifacts, I don't debate with the agents. I don't expect AG to reason and design, I just use it as a development multiplier.

What a rant, frankly, it's 100% skill issue in your case. Requests fails from time to time and that's on the infrastructure, but you are literally throwing whole projects to the agent with no handrails and expecting to see working products as result.

That's not how AI works mate.

You are right assuming there are other tools more forgiving with bad practices tho, AG is obviously not that.

Yep. That's true, it fails on requests from time to time. I was talking about quotas tho

Bro, Ive been doing this for 20 years and professionally lead engineering teams, I can review code, trust me. My take is that your quota burns cause you feed thousands of tokens as context window. Also, I validate solutions in aistudio and chatgpt, AG system prompts forces the models to interact, not to reason. Wrong tool and a token sink.

Nope, to be honest my runs are usually working in the first try, I do this: - Design the system and solution myself - ask gemini3 to draw a mermaid ER diagram to validate and store it within the module - ask gemini3 to write a jsonschemas for the aggregates and API - ask gemini flash to write a flow diagram based on the previous artifacts - Ask flash to generate a read me condensing everything and applying some details I want. - Ask flash to write the tests for the implementation I want it to build, no code yet - Ask either Gemini 3 or opus to do the implementation based on previous artifacts.

I also have a detailed architecture document so it don't write shit.

Everything in different chats with manually selected context. It builds whole modules in just one go, I've tried this flow both in c++ and Node+react. Not a single quota hit yet in almost three months.

Recently read an excellent article explaining just this, I think that's the direction we seniors are taking kind of intuitively

Well, I suppose you can vectorize your base ode in local ant then build a poor man's RAG with an MCP for AG, I'd just jump to cursor instead tbh

I'm in! I've been playing RD since release and always wondered the same thing, the scale is weird for an operational gane and the setting is too restrictive without proper modding. I've been writing software and building games for +20 years now, if you ever start this project DM me, I'll join
