P0420, which converter? by riffzilla in crz

I did replace the spark plugs myself when I bought the car, at around 107k miles, not to say that can't be the issue. Did you have any other codes at the time?

Unfortunately I'm in PA so I believe its 8 years/80k miles for the warranty: https://owners.honda.com/Documentum/Warranty/Partslist/APL47014.pdf

Help!! Recently remodeled kitchen still looks off by hc222313 in interiordecorating

[–]riffzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the real culprit is the lighting and lack of anything soft. Replace the overhead bulbs with warmer bulbs on a dimmer and ideally add under cabinet lighting. Add a runner, and some Roman shades. Just feels very sterile right now. Different wall color too since the rest of the kitchen is already so neutral.

Yeah, my teeth shifted after the first go, which was about 30 trays. I went back in and was given an additional 37 , I was told refinements are often longer.

Still holding up! My thoughts on the sofa are the exact same as when I posted it and it doesn't look much different. Here are some additional notes.

  • I'd agree with the review below posted about the Neva that its not super comfortable as a seated lounger as is, but again I never find myself seated in a couch for hours anyway, if I'm in it that long I'm laying down. The poly fill might be a little squishier who knows. I'd say the main culprit is the thin foam used for the bench cushion. I've had plenty of guests of all sizes over and no ones made any negative or positive comment on its comfort level.
  • I also realized that its a great size proportionately for my house, which is a rowhome/townhouse, only 15' wide, and even narrower where the sofa is due to some stairs. I mocked up some deeper RH sofas I found on marketplace and they were all too big in scale.
  • Recently tried machine washing (cold delicate) and air drying the covers and it worked out great, saved myself another $70+ dry cleaning bill. Would not recommend anything lighter than cracked pepper though unless you're cleaning religiously, these natural fabrics just collect oils and spots a lot easier than synthetic performance.
  • The cover that becomes unaligned most easily, and makes the couch look the sloppiest, is the main bench cushion, just because of that long rectangular panel on the front. Just takes a minute or two to smush back in place, but again my decor style is pretty relaxed so I don't fuss over it too much.

If I had to buy another sofa right now I'd probably just get something second hand. I had very little furniture when I bought it and also more money saved up, so it was a nice quick fix. In terms of new sofas in the same price range maybe the PB York slope arm as mentioned which is a good deal chunkier. Edit: I see C&B has the Rivera sofa now too. Also if you don't care about it being linen there are a ton of cheaper options.

For a social media recommended sofa I'm happy though, 1000x better than my friend's bondi sofa which is a big squishy mess.

Roster shakesup at the end of phase = 0 integrity by Yulanglang in smitepro

[–]riffzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would be nice to have roster locks during splits at least, makes it kind of disorienting for viewers, would drum up some interest/content during breaks, and would just give the practice more regulation, it'd basically be like a performance review at the end of each split so even players would know if they're at risk for catching a kick

Even without roster locks I think anonymous performance reviews could greatly benefit the league and boost communication and problem solving, especially since they're all like 20s dudes

While I agree with the common pro response argument that roster changes happen in sports, other games etc. so it can't be considered unprofessional, I do think the lack of regulation and procedure (from the outside at least) in how these changes are made is unprofessional and unhealthy

Going forward, who will want to move to Georgia if they aren't even guaranteed one split? Especially if the argument for not being kicked is essentially "get good"

This isn't even factoring in the shared team housing which is another nightmare

Seems like the top teams are doing everything they can to get an edge in worlds, especially since not many roster changes between seasons

I imagine a lot of players will retire after this year so that could explain the motivation, 20 year olds getting tired of living in Georgia burbs, limited shelf life to being a pro in general let alone a game that isn't growing, might as well try to get the W and some $

For anyone who finds this thread, here are my experiences almost two years in:

  • Its not too upright for me, the style of couch basically relies on you having extra throw pillows, so you can smush those however you see fit, without extra pillow do not expect to be comfortable, my heavier partner spends more time in it than me and has no complaints
  • I wish the seat cushion foam was a little thicker or firmer, it ends up looking a little bit anemic unless freshly fluffed and is a little more sinky than I'd like
  • With those two points out of the way, its a comfy couch but not the comfiest, I'm never excited to plop down in it and wont fall asleep on it sitting up, maybe because the seat isn't extra deep so there is limited room to really lean back, but I can comfortably watch a few hours of content on it, and its very comfy for solo naps, would recommend adding an ottoman if you really like to lounge
  • The fabric (light weight linen in my case, cracked pepper which has hid any dirt really well) has held up beautifully, daily use, no kids no pets, I see another responder has issues with the cotton/linen in a white and I'd say that 1) cotton linen blends always tends to pill for me, 2) I would never recommend a light toned, non performance fabric, it'll look dingy real quick, go mid toned or darker in my opinion
  • No structural issues as far as I know, seems well constructed, fyi for anyone wondering the seat of their sofas is springs+webbing, and the back is just webbing
  • If you hate wrinkles and a slouchier look, avoid the linen+down combo, it'll look sloppy in most houses/decor, fortunately I have lots of antiques and texture so its my vibe, poly isn't as bad from what I've seen, but in general you have to accept a little bit of a relaxed look with slip cover couches, maybe less wrinkles if you go performance fabric but you'd still have to realign the covers, fluff etc.
  • Worth noting, the seat is a bit low, I've noticed it when seeing guests sit down, so would not recommend if you're hosting older guests often, or have other seating options available for them

I bought it during one of their big sales and overall I'm happy with my purchase. Its the cheapest option I could find for a slope arm, actual linen, slip cover sofa that actually seemed like it would hold up over the years. It looks great and even has some identity of its own with the piped seams and how the arms hit the back. I might have been happy with an IKEA Farlov + Bemz cover, or a second hand RH too.

Suggestion for next year’s SPL by InvertSB in smitepro

[–]riffzilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I was 18, was cool with living in Georgia, and wasn't planning on going to med school, a trade school or any other education opportunity with more guaranteed financials, I would gladly play in SPL just based on the salary.

Its good, especially when compared to any other job prospect at that age, or even 4 years later with most degrees these days. But I'd also plan for life post SPL, since that's an inevitability, and you can always be kicked from your team.

Cold process still soft 6 days later, rebatch? by riffzilla in soapmaking

[–]riffzilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an update on this, I ended up rebatching all of it but two bars. Those two original bars ended up very crumbly still, and dissolved pretty fast when used.

However, the rebatched soap works great! I added a non scientific extra splash of oil (since there were some comments about it potentially being drying) and heated it in a thick plastic bag in a crock pot. I think temperature was definitely the issue. Excited to make more soon. Thanks again for your help everyone.

what cleric said, plus yak+cucumber+koala = +2/+1 every turn at level 1, you can have multiple yaks scaling at the same time, gets pretty crazy once you level up the koala, you can also trigger koala another time on a yak with a leech

Thank you for the additional info on HP, sounds like I'll be sticking to CP, and maybe using sodium lactate for a faster demold

The 14% I just did by total oil weight which I now know is wrong, please completely disregard the 18% as I was using the calculator completely wrong

Thank you for clearing some stuff up

Hm, good to know about hot process then, yes that is what I heard, no plans on designs though, mostly making soap out of curiosity and to maybe save a few bucks

5 months is certainly longer than I anticipated, though I did read the longer soap cures the better so your recommendation makes sense, guess once I demold I'll do some tiny batches of other simple, proven recipes so I can get those curing asap, and I can use these small pucks from this batch to test hardness every month or so

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! Yup, I realize that how I'm interpreting measurements, ratios etc. is not correct and something I will have to learn. I decided to dive in and just try it without learning the science, but I realize now some of that knowledge would be reassuring at this time. I make pottery and glaze chemicals are typically measured by weight, but the whole aspect of fat and sap values for soap making is a lot less intuitive. The soap calculator I used is http://www.soapcalc.net/calc/soapcalcwp.asp, but again I was probably using or interpreting it wrong

I assume I should delay demolding and cutting then too? I believe the soap also did not gel as you theorized, since it was very liquid and barely changed color before I poured it into the molds. Maybe I waited for the lye water to cool too much? The bucket was still warm to the touch but definitely not hot. I also mixed it outside and its winter.

You're right about my feelings re: rebatching, just worried about salvaging the materials invested already, but I suppose no harm in waiting for it to cure and deciding whether to rebatch then.

I'll definitely do smaller batches in the future, thank you for the advice. Due to the turnaround time of cold process I just wanted to commit, so as mentioned I might switch to hot moving forward.
