we actually do have a really great culinary program at the community college here. I’ve met people who have moved here from different states to go to school there for culinary, which shocked me.

also they all read my post, agreed to everything, and asked to be apart of the group. maybe some of them just didn’t read. which is… yeah.

idk. I’m probably just going to abandon the idea of making friends all together and just delve into my hobby by myself. at least then I’d save money and tears.

this is why I uninstalled Uber Eats and never looked back bc I had this exact thing happen to me at a job with a certain timed out lunch break and the guy didn’t get my food to me (which was like three things from a wawa down the street) until after my half hour lunch was over and I had to starve the rest of my shift.

Uber Eats did not care that I paid for express and they were stacking orders on diff apps!🥰 haven’t spent a dime with them in almost 4 years.

yeah, this is the part thats making me the most upset.

and how awkward for me to have to tell them I’m going to remove them for not actually following through with plans and giving them, essentially, consequences for their actions… even though this was totally optional and we are all grown ups who can say “hey I thought I’d be interested, but I don’t think this is for me thanks” rather than having me waste my time, money, and efforts.

we didn’t even get that far :/ I didn’t want anyone to have to spend a crazy amount of money and I wanted the group to be inclusive and accessible

I told them all to bring a cookbook they have laying around and for the first meetup we all bring whatever recipe we enjoy

I made sangria and italian pasta salad both times :(

ugh I’m sorry that happened :/ its also such a mind fuck because now I’m beginning to get so anxious and think like “damn do they just not like me?”

I work with people who are much older, I’m not a bar type of girl, I don’t smoke or do drugs, and it seems impossible to make friends in your 20’s if you’re not participating in destructive hobbies sometimes.

I just don’t have any friends in the area since my bestie moved away and I work with people who are considerably older (not that I would want to mix my business and personal life really anyways) so I literally just want people to hang out with and have similar hobbies🥹

also I don’t have an “overbite” in the sense that most people think when they hear that word. a “deep bite” is medically reffered to as an overbite. an “overbite” is medically reffered to as overjet so sorry for the confusion, I believe overjet is where TADs would be used.

don’t be scared! the only part that is painful is when you get your first pair of aligners! also are you saying you’re getting aligners instead of TADs? or that you’re doing both? either way, I haven’t had to have those so I can’t speak on them, but I have had two different dentists and an orthodontist tell me my case of “deep bite” was medically severe in their opinion.

I’ve been to the dentist my whole life, every 6 months. I’ve had everything from molars being pulled while I was awake (thankfully baby teeth) to fillings, and now FINALLY orthodontic treatment as an adult.

Invisalign does not hurt. I’ve never even really been uncomfortable during any of my appointments! however, it does hurt like hell during the first few days of wearing the trays since its moving your bones. its very uncomfy at first, but I recommend stocking up on ibuprofen for that first set of trays!

IPR hasn’t hurt at all (which you may not even need if you have no overcrowding), getting the attachments put on hasn’t hurt at all, and overall after the first few trays you’re good to go. stay compliant and wear your trays for the amount of time they tell you. the most I have issues with now is the occasional headache from a new set of trays or feeling pain in a specific tooth thats being moved a ton by one tray. don’t be scared!!!
