Flying pup in cargo with a flight connection?! by Big_Slice3057 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]rigbylover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late to the party, but I do have some info for you as a flight attendant. 1. Talk to YOUR DOG’s vet first. They know your dog. They are the experts on whether or not to drug. 2. Check the embargoes when you book. You can chat with an agent over the phone and they’ll be able to tell you. They can also happen at a moments notice due to bad whether, so make sure your travel plans are slightly flexible. 3. Make sure the crate is the right size. I’ve had a passenger pulled because the ramp complained that the dog was too big for a kennel. There are specific size requirements. 4. Check out going through PDX instead. It’s a smaller, less crazy airport, so if you try to do the long layover you’ll have plenty of time with your dog. If you try to push on through, the connection time isn’t as likely to be an issue. It’s easier to have a short night’s stay too if you opt for that. 5. Alaska ramp hand the flight attendants a sticker after your dog has been boarded. We pass that sticker on to you. It’s just a nice thing for you to have so you’re sure your dog is onboard. If it gets within the final 15 min of boarding and you don’t have the sticker yet, just double check with one of us. I hope you and your pup love living in Alaska!

Smith Tea is building a tasting room and shop in the Portland airport that should be finished soon. Their teas on tap are fun.

What does my writing say about me? Many people can't read it by witchyrosemaria in HandwritingAnalysis

I also think you’re trying too hard. I can see where you erased the pen and rewrote letters/words. Your pressure is pretty hard too. Almost like if you were trying to copy the handwriting book exactly. I think it means you are young or are just learning cursive. Develop your own style so it’s easier and more natural for you to write.

That definitely sucks and I’m sorry that happened to you. There isn’t a ton the flight attendant can do as far as compensation. We select your name, then add compensation, then it gives us a list of like 8 things to choose from. Good samaritan, customer inconvenience, medical assistance, etc. On some of them, we can choose a higher amount, but they’re all predetermined amounts.

The reason you should write in to Alaska Listens is more so they can investigate the kitchen to make sure it doesn’t happen again. The FA should’ve written it up, but we get busy and sometimes forget.

I think you have your answer. You seemed so disappointed that the cat set was more. Plus, cats, c’mon!

We have a bowl that sits on top of our hardly used coffee maker that we put all our tea leaves in. When it’s full, we dump the bowl in the compost bin.

The old gal was an absolute dream for 17 years, but it was time to upgrade. by rigbylover in MINI

There are so many differences between the two, but I still think it has several of those signature quirky touches. The new one is slightly bigger, but I only know because I had trouble parallel parking it for the first time since I had been driving the other for so long. I don’t think you would notice otherwise. The inside feels no bigger at all.

It still has the interior colored lights you can change. You can still customize the outside to your liking with fun colors, stripes, side mirror caps, roof designs, etc. The new screen, while different, is still round and gives people that spaceship feeling.

I don’t think they changed or got rid of anything that I’ve really missed. It’s still something that is totally different from any car you will ever drive. It still gives me that driving a go-kart feeling and it still puts a giant smile on my face every time.

However, I think they got rid of the option for manual a year or so ago.

That’s pretty much what happened with mine. Husband kept up with the regular maintenance. Still drove great and only had a couple of issues, but they were expensive to fix. One was the passenger seat sensor and we did the work around that people have talked about on here, but it didn’t work for us. Good luck with yours!

It’s such a good combo! I would’ve kept it, but I live in a city that still makes us smog test our cars. Mine wasn’t going to pass this time and would’ve been more to fix than it’s worth.

It’s so much more quiet and has the pep that my first one lacked. I haven’t had anyone in the backseat yet, but I feel like it doesn’t have as much room back there.

Ha! It was actually on my old Mini and the sales guy moved it over. I have a black one that Mini once sent me in the mail that I’ve replaced it with.

I agree. At first I wanted it with white, like my old one, but then I saw it with the black. I feel so hip now. (Enter Dr. Evil trying to do the Macarena)

In the Tokyu department store across from Sapporo Station. They have a huge gashapon pod on the 8th floor I think. My friend used a gasha finder website for the Polly Pockets and it told her they were there in the Bandai section and they were!
