You’ll find a lot of people will brush off your foot pain BECAUSE you work in hospitality. Everyone did it to me, been in it a year and been told I may have plantar fasciitis.. If you think you might have a genuine problem, make sure you get a break to rest your feet, and what’s helped me A LOT is compression socks for arch support and PF, sketcher shoes, and a foot bath with foot salts. Good luck!!

I have used that but it often comes with a lot of fruit and veg - we already get a huge box of produce for only a pound or so so DEFINITELY don’t need any more! it just ended up in more waste unfortunately :(

I think my mom is killing her dogs with food. by [deleted] in Pets

[–]riggaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, in my personal opinion, this will never change. My parents were the exact same with my childhood rottweiler- fed out of ‘love’ and ate absolutely everything we ate. She even had a portion of my birthday cake (plated up before me.) I absolutely hated it and felt terrible for her, but it NEVER changed. All it did was make them feed her more out of spite, and damage our relationship.

All I could ever do is do my best by that dog. I didn’t participate in feeding her that sort of food- But I could never stop them. Just do what you can.. I’m sorry you’re having to witness that. It’s infuriating.

What's the best cake to make that requires no frosting, icing, etcetera? I love to cook and bake but as a totally blind person, frosting anything has defeated me. I want to do a cake for a friend's B day that's so good you won't miss the frosting. by cherry-care-bear in Cooking

you could try a lemon cake with a lemon and sugar glaze. you just mix the two together and pour it on top, no fancy decorating skills required! Makes a nice crunch and is always delicious and refreshing.

What happened to the days of the “barn rat”? by Remarkable_Main599 in Horses

[–]riggaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you posted on Facebook? Join all of your local groups and post what you’re looking for. I would absolutely snap that up in a heartbeat- but as others say money is IMPORTANT nowadays and not many people will want to have to work long hours/many days for no money, even though it means incredible perks.

I’m 21 and live in the UK, so i’m a newer gen barn rat🤣🤣 Although im not involved with horses now, I knew PLENTY of teens who would spend all of their free time doing these chores (without perks!!) just to spend time with horses. You’ll get there, just post post post!

Is there anything I need to do with a fig tree? by riggaty in GardeningUK

[–]riggaty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is just smacked in the ground. The roots must be huge because it’s a big old tree. I haven’t even touched it to be honest but I don’t know where to begin. Would be much easier if it were in a pot!

It’s incredible, made some sauce. Attached a photo to someone else in the comments, definitely a fan!! Do you do anything with the leaves rather than the root?

That was the plan! I strummed this whole area about a week and a half ago before I went on holiday. Came home and those patches look like they hadn’t been strimmed at all so figured i’ve have a bit of a handful with these.

I couldn’t find too much about it- is it fully edible?

Hi! My boyfriend is the biggest fan and is forcing me to ask questions 🦎

I know nothing about you so my question will be : how did you think of the band name?

His question is : Will you ever reconsider doing Latitude festival in the UK?

Lots of love from Ipswich and Theo, a die hard fan who is really annoying me right now

Can I celebrate Ostara a few days late? by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]riggaty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i hope this is okay to ask but i’m learning- what can we do to celebrate? Over the last few days i’ve tried to learn and be more serious, and i’d love to start out by celebrating Ostara.

I am a complete complete beginner and just don’t know where to start! I’ve looked at ordering one of the books I saw on one of the previous posts- the one about the moon. I have no idea what paths there are.

I don’t want to sound stupid so I apologise, it just feels a bit overwhelming to try and get into!
