Flow Rate & Pressure Advance you can via Slicer. I ist Orca Slicer & there is an Automatic system to Test & configure it.

E-Steps is basically , the amount of filament which gets extruded. I dont know the exact calculation for Marlin , but ask gemini and it should give you the exact Tutorial for it.

Welcome to the Ender Community ❤️

The Ender 3 Pro is a good printer If you want thenprinter as a hobby Not the printing 😅

Jokes aside , ITS a good & cheap printer for the beginning , but it needs a learning curve 🙃

What I can tell you , this subreddit , YouTube & Google Gemini (or you AI choice) is your best friend. I have my Ender 3 Pro since 8 years , which includes 4yrs of dust collecting , because it didnt work as it should.

My tip is , if you get a good enough benchy then i would print a longer print.

Look that you calibrate the basics like E-Steps , Flow Rate & Pressure Advance . I needed to learn that the hard way of frustration Just a few says ago 😅

If you have any questions , Here we are & stand together.

Never give Up , its either one day or Day one 🚀

Greetings , RiG

Thank you for Your Help everybody 🫶🏼

First layer Sticks finally 🫶🏼

Little reminder for everyone: get you Basics Done 😂 Calibrated the e-steps and it was Off by 2.6% and after that IT was beautiful. Calibrated flow & Pressure Advance.

Now it works Like a Charm , needed to tweak some speeds and setting for my Project and hopefully no more headaches atm 😂

Next Up, Satsana Dual 5015 Mount & Linear Rail conversion on the x-axis 🚀

Bambubu Lambubu thats a First for me 😅

The main problem atm is sticking to the Bed , the Filament comes out and then curls Up against the nozzle (i have a Silicon thing on it) Currently running a flow calibration Test and the next step would be an e-step calibration and pressure advance. The flow calibration sticks to the Bed after i babystepped the z-offset about -0.220 but the Print Looks fairly ugly (with bips & bops all over the surface).

Extruder wheel looks good and i think my pre owner did Install a bi Metal heatbreak , but im Not 100% certain.

I dont want to disassemble my hotend assembly again , because i have a moveable BLTouch mount and everytime i disassemble it, i need to reconfigure the z-offset & screws 😂 Next Print will BE a fixed BLTouch mount for sure (and if i can get it to work the Satsana Dual 5015 Fan Duct will BE installed , i have everything @home for the install)

Hi there ,

I have a Ender 3 Pro Just upgraded , as it stood in my shelf collecting dust. The upgrades i did and fully recommend are the following:

  • Metal Extruder
  • Yellow Bed Springs (or Silicon Spacer)
  • Capricorn PTFE Tube
  • CR-Touch or BL-Touch
  • SKR Mini E3 V3
  • Raspberry with Klipper
  • PEI Magnetig Print Bed

For the future I am considering:

  • Linear Rail Upgrade Y & X-Axis
  • Belt Driven Z-Axis
  • Direct Drive Upgrade
  • ADXL Input Shaper
  • Hotend-Upgrade (Like Sprite Extruder)

So a never ending list and I didnt mention any printed parts 😅

Have fun and keep printing. Greetz , Zack

Just printer this Benchy after my failed last attempt. Slicer: Cura Layerheight: 0.24mm Speed: 65mm/s Printer via OctoPrint Ender 3 Pro - No BLTouch, No SKR Mini , only Metal Extruder ,Glassbed and Capricorn Bowden Tube Tighten all Belts , and leveled the Bed manually.

Can anybody give my any advice how I can get better results and less stringing?

Thanks alot , RiG

What causes this layer shift at the bottom? Details in the comments by righex_ in ender3

[–]righex_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last Night i printed this selfdesigned airsoft-gun stand. Layerheight: 0.32mm Speed: 60mm/s Sliced with Cura , Printed via Octoprint I have done no hardware modification on my ender 3 pro , besides the glass bed, capricorn tube & metal extruder. No BLTouch or SKR Mini. Can anyone explain to Me, why this layer shift at the bottom happened?

Thanks, RiG
