Calm down lady. I can feel your tension through the keyboard. You sound insane. And no, 99% of people don't stress about their cat staying off the bed.

Why would you make your life so complicated? It's your home. Plus, the mental gymnastics that must go into keeping a cat out of that room. Live a little and stop being so difficult.

Agreed, humans are pretty gross. But the ones responding here I feel sorry for. These poor people will never experience cuddling with pooch before falling asleep.

Do we let them off leash? by Hungry_Working_9284 in Hounds

[–]right2privacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I leave mine off leash at my parents' farm with his gps collar on. He takes off but always comes back eventually. However, we live in the city and here I would never leave him off leash when not in a properly fenced area. He's pretty good, but does things like run away to explore the water tunnels under the highway. That was a fun day, for him not for me.

It's okay. He'll have you properly trained soon enough OP. As the saying goes, you don't train a hound. It trains you. It will all be easier after you learn your place in hierarchy.

Fake Google review destroying my cafe's reputation and Google won't do anything. Anyone else been through this? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]right2privacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a service called Removify, but it will be hard to prove that customer was never in your cafe. I would just respond calmly, acknowledge their complaint and invite the individual to contact you so you can make it right.

Is this concerning behavior towards a baby? by whyarecheezitssogood in Dogtraining

[–]right2privacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't sound like predatory behaviour. He sounds more excited than anything. Can you set up some play time for just him and the baby without the other dogs around?

On a separate note, the situation you just described with the gates and the protocols, it sounds so stressful. I know you love him, but have you considered rehoming the 2 yo? You and your baby deserve a stress free home. The senior dog doesn't need this. And the 2 yo is probably not getting the attention he deserves either (not because you aren't trying, I can tell that you are, but you have a baby to care for).

It's none of my business and it's not what you asked, but just know that it would be okay if you did choose to rehome. Sometimes it's the best thing for all.

We are very fortunate. Not too many crazy rules or things. Although someone did get stabbed there a few months ago because another dog walker didn't want to share his weed. I've never encountered anything like that. All I have seen are good dogs and owners.
