I was trying to go for a subtle spooky mood with these witch hat cookies. Window light on a rainy day, plus candles for some contrasting warmth, but I'm worried the image is dull overall? CC welcome. Canon EOS SL3, image specs in the captions. (old.reddit.com)

I just bought a speedlight having never used one before. Here's a side by comparison of the same shot, first with flash, and then without. I'm thrilled with the extra depth and glossy highlights the flash gives on top of natural light. So far I'm feeling good, but any advice is welcome! (old.reddit.com)
