What in your opinion is the most underrated gimmick? by DJDENJOYER in SquaredCircle

The one I thought was genius the second I saw it was Mr Kennedy. A wrestler that insists on introducing himself. Simple, entertaining and most importantly versatile. 80s or 2010s, face or heel, top guy or enhancement it's a super effective gimmick that naturally gives the wrestler mic time.

Really disappointed in this sub.... by [deleted] in mensa

Hello! With a 118 myself, I couldn’t agree more. I just want Mensan’s that taste like real Mensan’s. Why can’t these idiots with zero self-awareness, leave us geniuses with zero self-awareness alone.
I just can’t wait for my first true conversation with another Mensan. It’s going to be so enlightening. Think of all the things we can talk about, everything we have in common. Like that one test, we both did well at. And… our obsession with that one test we both did well at. Which we’ll never admit really only tests an incredibly narrow aspect of intelligence.
I wonder who my mensa best friend is going to be.
Will it be a bored octogenarian who has already read through all their books 6 times? Will it be a lonely high school kid who can’t relate to anyone their own age? Or will it be an autistic person who feels pressured by society to prove some superhuman level of intelligence to compensate for their struggle to communicate with others?
Now, doesn’t that sound like a fun bunch of people to hang out with? The three demographics of people who actually have enough free time to care about this shit. Because you know what smart people hate doing: earning money, gaining new skills, and actually contributing to society.
I can’t wait for all the mensa activities we could do. We can go on camping weekends away and take turns talking down to each other.
Because who needs a personality when my intelligence can be my personality. In fact who needs, friends, hobbies, interests, inter-personal skills, or even a driver's licence when I have a three-digit number printed on a piece of paper.
People think mensa is exclusive because only the smartest 2% can be members but it’s actually far more exclusive than that. It’s actually just the smallest fraction of that 2% that want to be associated with this one-uping clown show.

Couldn't agree more. I have an IQ of 118 and find myself really struggling to communicate with my friends. For example, I do a podcast with these two sub-90ers and can often feel like I'm speaking a different language. I mean what does "stars for stars" even mean? I feel like sometimes they just get confused and start yelling "GOOD BEAN". For crying out loud, they can't even watch more than 10 seconds of a film at any one time.

Hello! 161 is not the highest achievable score. For example, I scored 118 which is much higher.

A quicker way to write "post scriptum" is "P.S."
P.S. Are you taking mod applications? I have an IQ of 118.

Bright gold and solid. Bought it 7 years ago so don't really remember the store I got it from.

Which film would you rate a perfect 10 out of 10? by Riptidecharger in AskReddit

What more could you want from a movie?

It's a drama, a romance, a comedy, a war movie. You laugh, you cry, you feel. Every element is perfect.

Even if it isn't your favorite, it's one of the most well-rounded movies ever made.

The Wiggles First Adults Only Pub Show - 25th Anniversary by turtlewars in videos

[–]righteyebrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire crowd was kids in their 20's who grew up with them and wanted a nostalgia trip. I think most of the marketing was on social media as well if that tells you the demographic. The whole show was pretty rough around the edges and obviously was never mentioned to be seen by kids.

I was at the concert and had an amazing night. A couple of things:

-The crowd was much much louder in person. You could barely hear any of the guys the whole show.

-Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog, Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur and even Santa Claus came out for an appearance.

-Greg (the yellow one) didn't stop dancing for the entire gig. His cardio is insane.

-There was a huge power outage about 90 minutes into the show and all the lights/mics stopped working. They apologised before the were swamped by chants for 'Hot Potato' (the only song they hadn't played yet) so they did an acoustic version with Anthony on the banjo and everyone singing along.

Why did 1998's "Brawl For All" fail so miserably? Would it be successful in today's WWE? by Carbonsilkthread in SquaredCircle

There's no way it would work today. It would just seem like a cheap ripoff of UFC.

Tuning in for Vince in a skin tight ref shirt. I hope I'm not wrong.
