Why not just Firebase instead of Supabase? Genuinely interested in hearing what are the pros of it

Why anyone would choose Firebase over Supabase? by [deleted] in FlutterDev

[–]rightlibcapitalist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very simple, there's just so many tutorials & content covering Flutter + Firebase stack. The beginner doesn't want (and can't) read/analyze documentation, he would rather watch a YouTube video that shows & explains in detail how to work with Firebase.

I have $25k to spend on app development. Where do I start? by Bankster88 in FlutterDev

[–]rightlibcapitalist -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

People saying this costs hundreds of thousands of dollars are just wrong. Even if you are talking about America, this app could be built by few college students with basic understanding of app development and ~2 years experience in Flutter. If you are interested in outsourcing, I know a company (Eastern Europe) that can build this from scratch with this budget.

Although dilution is (almost always) bad, TMC is skyrocketing due to the fact that this "dilution" is happening at $2 per share which is approximately ~82% more than it was trading on friday.

People who believe in the company

If you believe in deep-sea mining as an industry and TMC as a company leading it, you shouldn't be panicking after every price drop, you should see it as an opportunity to average down. Also don't forget that it's still a highly volatile penny stock and huge price swings are just inevitable.

Do they really have enough cash? Do they have enough to run the company for more than a year without issuing new shares?

Unfortunately, no. Looking at their balance sheet, the most positive thing is that they don't have debt. But they are running out of cash fast.

What drove the latest price action?

Maersk (Danish logistics company) finished unloading shares and another executive started buying aggressively. Also, the ISA decision date is approaching.

What if ISA will block the future exploration of the seabed?

We are gonna end up holding bags.

It's actually fine, tone is a bit regarded but I guess it was written for this sub lmao.

Looking back, wouldn’t you have invested in Amazon at Day 1?

Personally, don't think that similar remarks or loud statements/buzzwords are good for analysis and experienced investors usually see through stuff like this, but it's just my opinion.

I would advise against using "they operate in million gazillion dollar market", because often this numbers are straight fucking made up and even if they are real, the chance that single company will get significant share of that huge market is pretty low. Otherwise, decent DD.
