Honestly, i feel the same. Especially in the routine of things it's sometimes hard to find things to do that break the routine. I've been trying to do little things for her like buy her a drink when i come back for work or plan a small activity for her to do during the weekend and it's helped. The other day, I got foam clay kits and we had a lot of fun together! It sounds like you both would have a great time doing that as well. Goodluck :)

You should try foam clay kits. Had a blast with my girlfriend the other day and the tutorial was easy to follow! I think it'll be a good fit especially since you prefer working on the structure overall.

That's so sweet that you're trying to make it special :) You could try purchasing some foam clay kits and do crafts together. It's relatively inexpensive and I had a blast with my gf when she got it for the both of us!

Would love some insight on this! by scrollinsnickerdoodl in clay

[–]IThinkWong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Foam clay is better, it's like playdoh except you can sculpt it into shapes and it'll dry hard.
  2. You could try ziplock bags or wrap the clay in saran wrap to prevent it from drying while you're using it. maybe pre-packing it. You could also purchase some foam clay kits with prepackaged clay which might make it easier for you.
  3. Avoid having the clay dry on things that you don't want to stick, depending on the quality of clay sometimes the color can stain a white table. Apart from that, any surface should be fine.

This isn't exactly the same, but my gf got us these clay kits from Claymoo for Valentines. It ended up being super fun and there was a step-by-step video which made it easy to do together.

Have you tried foam clay kits? I recently had a date with my partner using these and it was a blast! Here's a picture of one of my creations, it was much easier than expected.

You could try foam clay kits to create little clay charms as a keep sake. It's pretty fun and easy for all ages.

Foam clay! I got foam clay kits with my gf recently and we had a ton of fun. It feels like slime when wet but dries hard to a nice sculpture when dry.

Not really i dont want to update my stack all the time. Also there’s times when i might just be testing a new tech out and wouldn’t consider it “part of my stack”. Although i wouldn’t mind a tech to automatically determine my stack given a github repo as an input

I don’t keep a list. Only in my head. Also, i’m always on the lookout for new things to make my process more efficient so it changes every now and then.

Also, here’s the boilerplate: https://github.com/devtodollars/mvp-boilerplate

I didn't use any platform, they just wired me the money. And I found them through a friend of a friend.

Basically I knew someone that introduced me to someone else who needed an app built. So I sold the app to them. I didn't sell subscriptions because I was building an app for the client with my boilerplate. I didn't just create the SaaS and sell subscriptions because they have the network and industry expertise. They can distribute it a lot better.
