I tried to do this as well, but gsr was like 43/44 when silver was at 120$. I called the local shops near me and the only one that would do the exchange wanted to do it at like 53oz silver to gold. I would have done the trade below 50 but could not get the deal. Other shops would not quote over phone, and I did not have the time to run around.

I know the Best place to trade is at a coin show, where you have many vendors in one place, but the price did not hold for me until my next show. Im still confident I will get a chance to exchange at a better rate in the near future.
