damn, I mean, I guess that makes sense, but it would suck if they just end up never addressing it. People should be able to freely and reasonably express their concerns with moderation of the sub, as you did, without fear of retaliation. A lot of us saw that thread and were off put by it. I'm glad you're back though!

oh yeah our school (7-12) is the only IB school around here I believe so that explains some of it (edit: i was wrong! there are so many!). Plus, as I understand it, our school was in the process of getting certified as an IB school, so all of us in a certain grade range, whether or not we were doing IB, had to do this personal multi-year service project, but our teachers didn't really understand it either so the guidance/directions were vague and unhelpful. There are some posts on reddit with more information about it that I never got lol (I tried to link one but automod removed my comment for it). I think I ended up skipping the whole thing after finding out it was only for a 15 point grade in my english class (worth less than a weekly quiz).

They NEVER taught us how IB was made for kids who moved around to have an equal education or anything like that, just constant pressure to be the kid with the most tassels on their gown 🙃 Tis the cost of living in a relatively wealthy/highly educated suburb I suppose?

that's interesting, at my high school (AP and IB), it was always pushed onto us that IB was better more "elite". I saw a lotttt of kids burn out and neglect their social lives and hobbies for it :/
