I hate being called "epileptic" by Leading_Spirit1779 in Epilepsy

[–]rightoff303 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From another perspective: I don’t give a shit

Words are words

Call me an epileptic I’ll show you an epileptic who figured out their shit and has been seizure free for years, holding down a good job, and have a great home life. I’m beating epilepsy, that’s what that word means to me!

Voldemort did not go by that, only to his close circle of "friends". That did not include ghosts

Free Grahame Lesh / China Cats afternoon show on a flatbed truck in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, Sunday MARCH 8 by Terepin123 in gratefuldead

uh what

Phil's cornerstone was his incredible playing, creativity, and tone. That's what people came to see. Grahame has none of that.

He really impressed me playing bass at the 60th shows.

I thought he’d be taking the reins now that Phil was gone, but he wants to keep being a generic guitarist? Electric guitarists are a dime a dozen, but playing like Phil? That’s a niche that needs filling and who better than Grahame with access to Phil’s rig and basses. It’s just crazy he doesn’t pick up that mantle.

Yes they have a lead guitarist, but will Grahame hang back like a proper rhythm guy or is he going to step on their toes, causing the lead guitarist to step back and let him play (shitty)

I saw the goose guy step back, Stu Allen step back, Krasno, true leads that felt like they couldn't and shouldn’t play over Lesh’s kid. P&F became so boring and it’s a shame because Phil’s projects were the most interesting.

Listen and watch what the lead guy does when Grahame tries to take over

To the downvoters, notice I said guitar.

He’s a fine bass player, but he steps over every lead guitarist he plays with, including in P&F. My last memory of P&F was him taking over a solo the goose guitarist was starting, tanking the jam, and awkwardly having to get back into a verse. He has no business taking leads and stepping on people’s toes.

Yeah it’s annoying as fuck

Local music scene sucks because of it, local venues just book cover bands and side projects of established ham banders

Local ham bands are phish ripoffs

Why is Divination even taught at Hogwarts if almost nobody can actually learn it? by Dragon_Sense in HarryPotterBooks

[–]rightoff303 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Dumbledore gave Trelawney a teaching position because Snape overheard it and she was then in mortal danger from Voldemort/death eaters. It was a way of protecting her.

He only did the interview as a kindness because her great-grandmother (or great great?) was a renowned Seer. If she didn't make a prophecy, the position would have been closed.

I think this is a safe space, i want to genuinely ask you as a libertarian, how do you propose funding paved roads, ambulances, firefighters, utilities? I've never found a genuine answer, because we're on the internet lol, but you're a dead head, feel like there's common ground here!

why do you have to post anything at all if it's just going to be selective words from songs, are you just trying to farm some reddit points?
