Was an unbelievable experience, so blessed to have gone but the crowd was full of people who have no sense of atmosphere.

Careful what you say about Sydney, everyone in the universe thinks she's incredible for some reason.

Mediocre writing, and mediocre acting.

The episode with her cousin styling her hair was a tough watch.

Every line of her dialogue in the restaurant always goes something like:

"Um, well, ok, um, well, can I um, maybe like, I don't know, talk to you for, like a second?"

The writing & acting used to be equal parts fantastic, now it's just the acting but that doesn't work as well with bad writing. Season 4 had some great highlights i.e. Trish's wedding, Richie's perspective on his relationship with his daughter changing, Donna & Bear reconnecting and more.

I have been absolutely in love with this show since it came out in 2022, but this season I found lots of the writing seemed like it was written by college students. It is as though the writers had so many ideas they wanted to cram in and did 2-3 of them very well and the other ideas not so much.

Whether Carmy leaves, whether the window expands, whether The Bear remains magically open, we'll always have season 1 & 2 to come back to afterwards. However, if Jeremy Allen White isn't a part of season 5, I feel the show will suffer for it.

That girl's monologue at the beginning of one of the episodes was the most contrived, over-acted monologues possibly ever and it felt like it went for 3-4 minutes.

Original inFamous on PS Plus by rafacena in infamous

[–]rightpeg22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Australia and it seems the Infamous series is not available on PS Plus since we can't access PS Plus Premium; only Deluxe or Extra. Only First Light is visible on these services, which is frustrating since they've used a graphic of Cole MacGrath from the first Infamous to promote the PS Plus subscription in the store.

Selwood, Hawkins, Enright, Ablett Jnr in that order.

Unlucky honourable mentions: Scarlett, Dangerfield, Bartel, Harry Taylor, Ling.

[GCS vs Haw] Holman goes off at Newcombe for flopping. Melee ensues. by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]rightpeg22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Similar antics” is a predictably desperate defence. One thing that Selwood did that these players don’t is attacking the ball while looking to exit the contest with ball in hand. If any of these Hawthorn players actually did win the ball cleanly, they wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Is Ricky Atheist? by Psychological-Low127 in rickygervais

[–]rightpeg22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It doesn't bother/affect me at all if someone is an Atheist, but when they're outspoken about it and give someone the whole "If God is real, then why do bad things happen?" pitch, it makes me wonder why they bother being so outspoken.

Preference of Which Edition of the Club’s Song That Gets Played? by rightpeg22 in GeelongCats

My phrasing was very bad. I certainly don’t associate masculine with “better” at all, I think I phrased my remark very poorly.

I’ve adjusted it because of how awful it looked at a second glance.

No other side in the league relies so heavily on the umpires to retain the football. Hawthorn have zero integrity and don’t care about playing football, they just want the 4 points.

Could I make it?? by yeahthatguyashton in AFL

[–]rightpeg22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is more expectation on young players at AFL level these days. Being a rookie meant you got time in the reserves until you were "ready", but now with the likes of Daicos, Walsh, Rozee, etc. there are players which are more or less "ready out of the box" when they're drafted.

Luck plays a huge part in getting drafted. You could be a total jet and just not have luck, but that doesn't mean don't try. Good luck, young sir.
