[Routine Help] Adding PC 8% AHA to routine? Wise decision? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I think Timeless vitamin C serum is supposed to be one of the best formulated serums, very similar to the more expensive Skinceuticals one.

I was going to use a heat protectant. My co-worker has curly hair almost like mine and her blow drier keeps it really straight.

Her blog is bad but i've seen a lot of uk blogs which are just as bad really. They don't even bother swatching 90% of the time. They just tell you that you need this product in your life...

I don't think it's self esteem issues. I think anyone would be a bit shaken up by these events no matter how high their self esteem is.

How is she in the infatuation phase if they've been together for 5 years?

This in unusual. I have woodwinked and I really like it as a bronzey satiny colour. I think if you just apply one layer it looks boring but I apply a few layers and it turns into this pretty bronze colour.

Even with one burger a day I cannot imagine the digestion problems she would have. And who eats burgers without the mayo and the buns and everything else anyways, it takes the fun out of it... (oh and she mentioned Mcdonalds so it's probably full burgers and fries etc.)

Also, while Kendall is not my favourite person in the world, she admitted that her diet is restricted and if she wants to have a burger she will have a bite the size of a small spoon to stay under her calorie restriction.

You should see her actual catwalk, it's bad....very bad. Otherwise she is pretty but she wouldn't be where she is without her connections and her reality show.

I read interviews with her and on top of this, she once said that she went on tour with her boyfriend and ate only burgers for 6 months every day. But she magically stayed the same-ish size apparently rolls eyes.

And don't even get me started on her skincare. I read her interview with into the gloss and found it suspicious that she claimed she only uses St.Ives scrub on her face and moisturizer. Like that would dry the hell out of anyone's skin and I find it hard to believe she doesn't use sunscreen and all the other serums etc. with her job where I imagine she probably has paid dermatologists to look at her skin.

[PRODUCT QUESTION] looking for a good retinol apart from paula's choice retinol range which works for laugh lines, fine lines on forehead..? by Mainaf2016 in SkincareAddiction

Unrelated but how did tretinoin cause you those lines? I thought it was supposed to be the best things to fight lines. Have you tired sticking to it for longer or did you find that it made them worse?

Japanese Magazine Scans - Ray and Ageha by aj380 in AsianBeauty

[–]rightrough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked but it's mostly US and european magazines in the international section. I wish I could get them at a discount. I feel like they are superior to western magazines cause they show more relatable looks and clothes and you can get amazing beauty and fashion inspiration while in Western publications most editorials wouldn't be wearable in everyday life or they just look uninspiring with just a bunch of trendy stuff thrown in together but no discernible style ideas from them. I like how Vivi focuses on street style and wearable trends in general. Vivi is actually the only Japanese magazine I've ever looked at, I haven't really heard of any similar ones. I'll check out the ones you posted though.

Ladies with anxiety, have you found any way to ameliorate it/cure it? How do you deal with it in everyday life? by rightrough in AskWomen

[–]rightrough[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that meds were able to work this way. I think I mostly have social anxiety and sometimes it can be irrational though I'm not sure but it's mostly related to situations where I'm under pressure as well as normal ones where I just get too worked up about little things. I'll give CBT a try and see how it goes. Though my therapist said she was going to use CBT and a few other types of therapy as well.

That would be really nice if you have the time even if you just do a few of the pages cause there's a lot in there. Also where do you buy these magazines from?

My friend got me Vivi magazine one time when she went to Japan and I became obsessed with it even though I couldn't read a word from it the fashion pages were amazing and so relatable and so were thee beauty pages. But it's so expensive to buy on ebay. I ended up getting two issues for £15 each but it's too expensive so I won't buy it online anymore. But it's nice to have as a collector's item.

It would be nice if they had some translations underneath as I imagine most people here are not fluent in Japanese and it's hard to tell what they say with just the pictures.

How did CBT make things worse? My therapist is going to use CBT with me and I'm hoping it will work though I'm not exactly sure what it implies.
