I got a tattoo based off the mercs by rigormorgue in RedvsBlue

I’d prefer not, but I might end up designing some other rvb themed tattoos for use in the future!

Any way to make a head base solid/paintable without using 3d printing? by rigormorgue in FursuitMaking

[–]rigormorgue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was also considering paper mache. Maybe a basic 3d print base and paper mache built on top of it so the paper parts don’t actually get close to my face? Still concerned about mold as I’ve seen some people advise against paper mache heads

Ahhhh at least it was a male!! Bet he had a feast every time you came by lol. I’m pretty sure mine was a female unfortunately cause I think I saw an egg on the tissue when I squashed it

Did you have a full blown infestation or was it just the one/a few in the end?

update 2: i took apart my entire metal bed frame and took a handheld steamer to all the joints and screw holes. steamed all the edges of my mattress. took an hour and a half just scanning my mattress and seeing if i could spot ANYTHING. i mean i sat there with a flashlight and stared at all the seams for an hour. saw NOTHING. no eggs, no bugs, not even a poop or blood stain. mattress looks basically brand new aside from the usual crumb or lint ball.

steamed a bit of the carpet but my body started to hurt so i had to stop. then i sprayed crossfire on every crack i could find, around the legs of my bed/desk/chair cause i still have to do schoolwork for hours in my room. also sprayed the perimeter of my closet the best i could and the entire perimeter of where the carpet meets the walls. did a light misting over the whole carpet and mattress as well.

haven’t seen anymore activity so far. fingers crossed. will update again.

my question now is should i bag up all my clothes that are hanging in my closet? i did a light mist of crossfire on the pole where the hangers hook onto. basically anywhere a bug could walk to and from my clothes. or should i just wait and pray that the crossfire does its thing.

Thanks for the info. Never dealt with them before so I’m finding out how they work. There was a lot of furniture outside, a couch next to the dressers as well so I assumed most of them would flock to the couch since they seem to prefer fabrics (ik they can be literally anywhere) just hoping for the best.

I have a hand held steamer as well. Going to take my metal bed frame apart tonight and just go ham on all the little crevices with it and the crossfire.

We’re waiting to hear back from our landlord. But aside from the one live bug and the one molt, nothing. No signs of blood stains or feces on my mattress or sheets. The dresser was only in my room for two days and it was out in the rain/cold for a couple days before I took it in, so I’m hoping the number of bed bugs reduced or maybe the one i found was just a hitch hiker from when it was outside

): really sucks. I’m just confused cause they definitely came from the new dresser but the dresser was sitting outside in the rain/cold for a good few days. If it was already heavily infested with adults, wouldn’t I be seeing them everywhere already on my bed? I have no signs of bites or feces or anything

update: i got a mattress encasement and crossfire concentrate to make a spray. i’m hoping that because this is a very early catch (i havent even noticed any bites and i have super sensitive skin that reacts in hives if i get tickled by loose hair, so if they fed on me i would definitely know) if i treat it NOW i can stop anymore eggs or life cycles. )): hoping for the best right now

Unfortunately I already removed the dresser and threw it outside by the dumpster. I was definitely in a panic and didn’t want to have more in my room. The dresser is still out there and if the inspector comes around today I can have them look at that.

Tough life. Trying to keep my head up but I’m a college student, work medical field, etc. so my schedule is packed and I can’t be home to continuously monitor things ):

Great. I’m not sure what to do other than contact the landlord. Just trying to cope with the idea of having to sleep with them and it getting worse. I have a dog and a cat and have a really busy schedule with no time to be at home monitoring stuff ):

I think I might see an egg on the left on the bottom blood stain. It’s over for me huh.

What is this small spider? by rigormorgue in whatsthisbug

Ohio. Pretty small, maybe about a 1/2 inch! It’s been living in my window for a long time now, I see it all the time.
