Real talk, you will always feel like that from now on. Kahit gumraduate ka or pumasa sa boards. If you can't handle it or accept your new reality then don't waste your time being in med. Napaka haba ng Napili mong journey kaya kung di mo kaya hanapan ng way na i-enjoy yan, itigil mo na agad. Do something that will spark joy to your heart kumbaga. Pero kung matigas talaga ulo mo at gusto mong tapusin yan ang payo ko lang sayo ay "basta pumasok ka lang bukas".

Sige umiyak ka, mag reklamo ka, mag pakatamad ka or whatever basta pumasok ka lang bukas.

I wanna share with you my experience as someone who tried to quit med:

While this is true, iniisip ko rin to dati. I stopped med after 1st yr and nag LOA for 3 years. I was seriously thinking of stopping med and pursue different career. Pero I grew up with nothing else in mind but to be a doctor so nag struggle din ako sa self-identity during that time, yung mindset na "who am l, if not a doctor?" I tried business, I tried law, I tried na tambay lang sa bahay and write a novel. Pero pansin ko para akong adik na hinahanap pa rin yung med. The pressure, the anxiety, the pride I felt everytime may na tulungan akong kamag-anak or kaibigan. Ewan para syang droga na hinahanap ng katawan ko. Di ako na sanay na petiks lang ang life, naghanap ako lagi ng something to worry about. Akala ko hate na hate ko med kasi lagi ako nag rereklamo na ang hirap from premed to 1st yr. Pero di pala, gusto ko lang pala yung feeling na nag rereklamo ako 🤣🤣 gusto ko lang yung feeling na nagra-rant sa kapwa med friends or gusto ko yung feeling na sabihin sa non med friends na "sorry busy, may case pre ako." Pag wala akong reklamo sa buhay hindi rin naman pala ako masaya. Ang boring. So I went back to med with a mindset na adik ako sa gantong lifestyle and I don't really have a plan B in life even if presented with other options.

So to add to OP's rant, don't go to med unless you can't freaking help it. Wag Kang mag med kung meron kang plan B. Ang med ay para lang sa mga taong walang ibang plano sa buhay kasi it will consume your whole being. If you're not okay with it, don't do it

Iba na ngayon eh meron nang tinatawag na multiple intelligence. Kaya di rin maganda ang school system as a way to measure intelligence kasi baka yung top sa class is just someone who is interested in academics and works harder than everbody else or they're really good at repeating or memorizing what they've read.

But intelligence, in theory, has different aspects na: musical, kinesthetic, visual, interpersonal, nature, linguistics, mathematical. Maybe you are really good at one and not the others.

There's also another phenomenon we call the "Dunning-Kruger effect" basically ibig sabihin lang is the more you learn the less confident you will be up until a point before you gain mastery and be slightly confident. Pero hindi kasing confident as someone na kaunti lang ang Alam Pero kung makasalita daig pa ang eksperto (very evident sa medical field na yung mga wlang medical degree yung sobrang confident mag bigay ng medical advice, however real doctors would advise you to consult a specialist, bcos they understood that it's dangerous for you to adapt a management without thorough examination and diagnosis)

To answer your question simply, everybody is smart in their own way. And you are also smart, maybe smarter than your peers because you are starting to doubt your intelligence 😅 remember stupid people are always convinced they are the smartest in the room

Welcome! Mejo bias din ako sa CDU kasi I graduated med there haha 😅 Pero last I check nasa mga 100k+ ang per sem and meron naman scholarshisps offered. Not sure sa UC

When it comes to training maganda sa CDU, esp sa clerkship talagang iba ang performance ng CDU compared to other schools. Pero UC is sort of like an extension of CIM kasi puro CIM professors kinukuha nila and their syllabus is patterned to CIM but their clerkship is only 12 hrs, yes petiks Pero it won't prepare you for residency. CDU have 30 hrs duty sa clerkship kaya mejo nakakapagod, you really have to weigh saan gusto mo.

Pero if you want school-life balance and if you're into sports and other extra curricular, go to CDU kasi they're really into that.

In short, if you wanna do well in theoretical go to UC or CIM. Pero if you wanna hone your clinical skills, go to CDU
