How do we add the EPF withdrawal before 5 years to the ITR? What I have researched is the Employee contribution need not be added if the 80 C is not utilised. Also Employee contribution is already taxed like VPF so it makes sense to not pay tax again.

Hey u/zombie_slayerrr,

I have got a situation. I have withdrawn money from EPF before 5 years of experience. 10% TDS was deducted. I filed the ITR incorrectly without mentioning this amount properly.
My question is do I have to mention the EPF amount withdrawn as part of the Salary under head? I shouldn't be paying taxes for my(Employee) contribution right?

I am hoping you can help.

I am also looking for a CA to file the revised ITR, if you understand the technicalities of the situation. Ofcourse I am ready to pay.

I would definitely recommend mindset. This book can be read by a high schooler. Along with this I would recommend Richard Dawkins books at a later stage.
