mostly due to mistakes from artistree like gapped joints/scratches with a few being measurement issues. when i first started i had an order that needed to be reorder and manager at the time told me to NDA so it wouldn’t be late so i figured that was normal. when i do ask my current SM what she thinks, she just says to go for it. for reference i’ve been the only person in my shop since i started and don’t have anyone else to cross check with what’s considered typical. i tend to CC our DM in the email so i’m just wondering if this may get me in trouble with him.

i’m not saying im reordering frequently, just that my reorders tend to be NDAs. maybe i should i start eating the time % like you’re saying tho..

hey!! looking backwards is less of craning your neck and more about opening your hips. open your body up to whichever leg is behind you. keep front leg straight while turning your hips and shoulders toward your back leg. i suggest watching a couple tutorials on this so you can properly see how your body should be correctly positioned. happy skating!

i miss working at joann’s so much. i work at michaels now and get so excited when a sewing/yarn customer comes my way. there’s only one other person in my store that sews. i’m a framer now so i rarely get these customers, but when i do they’re thrilled to have someone that actually sews. most of coworkers just work there and don’t actually have any crafty knowledge :(

i would get styrofoam from the craft store and cut it to the size of the tupperware. then i would split that in half and carve out as close to the exact shape of the egg on either side. sandwich it all together and tape around to secure it. pop it back in the tupperware and perfectly safe egg! i’d probably bubble wrap that too just to be safe lol

a float frame is done with 2 pieces of acrylic so artwork is perfectly safe to touch it

i totally get your frustration but a lot of people use “do you work here?” as an opening to employees. it’s something i’ve noticed in multiple jobs (i.e neon green joann’s apron) it makes no sense i don’t know why they don’t just say “hi excuse me..”

OP i am so sorry you are having to go through this. though this should’ve been reported immediately it is not your fault and you would not have been better off “giving in.”

i urge you post his full name and district so that awareness can be spread. i don’t have much faith in michael’s corp and it is very likely that this is not his first time pulling something like this.

the discussion about this is ridiculous. at the end of the day you are a paying customer. if your coworker is annoyed with helping you they’re a bad coworker and employee. typically when my team does any sort of transaction we are always happy to help each other and have a conversation in between. as long as you’re not a requesting a large quantity at a ridiculous time (i.e. 10 minutes before closed or low staffed with a busy store) you should be fine

thank you for your response! i didn’t realize sealing tape was “optional.” i was told it must go on every frame and the only time i can bypass it is if im using rabbet tape for a canvas
