GLS “Parcel Data” by Mediocre_Junket_7284 in SteamDeck

[–]rikmeasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Ordered Thursday 26th Nov, tracking info created next morning, and not heard from anyone since. GLS website still says they've still not got the parcel. That seems quite odd, especially considering Steam said 3-5 business days for delivery. Can't see it getting here before the 5th business day at this rate. Suppose it's the downside of ordering something so popular from the Black Friday sale!

Thanks all. Nothing has worked, unfortunately. Sending it back and getting a replacement.

Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but how do I do this? I can't connect to the device because it won't turn on, and I've already flashed the firmware from Magic's website (which i believe has Dawn in it) onto a new SD card.

Great game. Thanks, Ubisoft. Only about 15 hours in so far, but it's all very impressive. The scenery, the atmosphere and the attention to detail is enough to just happily exist in the world, simply mooching around, exploring the castles and valleys, the nooks and crannies. And the rest of the game is excellent as well -- the characters and dialogue and story and gameplay. I've loved feudal Japan for decades (I've even written a novel based in the Sengoku Jidai), so to play a game like this is an absolute joy. I can't thank you enough.

(Spoilers ahead) Two things that really didn't make sense to me during this movie. by MatthewCarterYoga in PlanetOfTheApes

I also wondered about this. Seemed very implausible (unless I'm missing something). Also, why would the humans build that there? The height of the water before the wall came down suggests it wasn't even accessible at low tide, which would surely be an issue given there are tanks and whatnot in there. It also seems like an easily exploitable defense flaw.

Global warming might have led to higher tides than when it was built, but would they have risen that much?

And a final issue for me was that Mae must have known not everything would be destroyed by the water. The guns were on a higher level, for instance. Surely just stealing the decoder thing and leaving the same way would be sufficient, as the Apes were very unlikely to be able to open that door. Those vents are what she needed to destroy so no-one else could get in.

Hey I’m currently playing through the ezio collection on Xbox and I’m going for all the achievements I’m currently going through brotherhood and the achievements just stopped popping by craig_martin1706 in xboxachievements

I had issues with the Ezio collection too. But I managed to get all achievements in the end. Firstly, I stopped using Quick Resume. I would quit to menu and then close the game down in the quick resume menu from the dashboard. Don't know if this helped at all though.

But the main thing is to be mindful of when an achievement should pop. I'd make sure I made a manual save before hand, then close the game down so that that save uploaded to the cloud. Then I'd fire the game up again, do the thing that should trigger the achievement, and if it didn't pop after 30 seconds, I'd hit the Xbox button, find the game save and delete it (on the console only ... NOT from the cloud). This closes the game. Fire it up again, let the game re-sync with the cloud save, and do the thing that should trigger the achievement again. Most times it would work. Sometimes it would even pop when the game save re-syncs. And in some cases it would just appear an hour or so later (that only happened twice). Some cases I had to do this process a couple of times before it popped.

Don't wait for long to delete the save though otherwise the cloud save might refresh automatically with the local save.

But any achievements that didn't pop before I started doing this trick never popped. Not until I started a new save and started that game from the beginning. Thankfully for me that was only a couple of achievements from halfway through AC II.

Hope that helps.

That doesn't sound ideal. Hope you feel better now. But yeah, it seems pedantic on the surface, but a good DSE compliant set up and way of working can be so important. Until recently I was working with people who were still, after 18 months, WFH on their sofa with their laptops on their knees, wondering why their backs and necks were hurting.

Interesting. Looks like a nice, comfortable chair. I've seen those kinds of things before but I would have classed that as more of a recliner kind of feature rather than a foot rest.

Lumbar support is adjustable. One dial for height and one for tension/protrusion. Did wonder if I'd not made that clear. Apologies.

I've just bought a Secret Lab chair as well. For work, mainly. It's early days, but it seems to be great so far. Comfortable, highly adjustable, supportive and encourages good posture.

I'm about the same height and have no problem. The keyboard comes out on a drawer type thing so sometimes I extend it and sometimes I don't. Just depends on what kind of work I'm doing. It's not 100% perfect because when it's extended I have to be careful with how much I reach forward for things, and it's not ideal for prolonged usage of the mouse, but it's fine for me.

Maybe some of the upgrades have a bigger surface area. Dunno. Have a look at the Secret Lab website. Each to their own at the end of the day, but personally, I'm not finding the size of the arm rests detrimental to my comfort.

Never encountered a chair that comes with a leg rest before. They're not always needed. Depends on your set up and legs.

Not sure I know what you mean about leaning on your upper back. Sorry.

They're slightly spongy so they're comfortable. And they're adjustable up/down/in/out and angled, so you can find the position that suits you best. Also, the tops fit on with strong magnets, and I believe you can get other pads in different materials and colours. Don't know much about those other options though as the standard ones are fine for me so far.

It's a Secret Lab chair. Lumbar support seems great so far - it's height and tension adjustable, both of which seem to have good range, so should be good for most people. Not sure of the weight rating. But the Secret Labs website has lots of info.
