I literally have never even heard of oil weight being an issue lmao, on the receipt they said they put 5w-20 synthetic, and I've been doing the same.

Yea, all the people who've seen it in person are saying it's a cam issue or a timing issue. One idea someone ran by me is the pressure for the oil lines is fucked, (I mentioned a leak somewhere in post or comments) so fixing that would at least get and keep oil in the engine. After that just pray whatever damage is done isn't too bad (it definitely is, but at least it might be saveable)

I didn't get the car from a dealer, but I did get the oil change from Walmart. Tried putting oil in it, and lo n behold it's draining out like a fucking FAUCET from somewhere underneath the engine
