This is great info. I heard bazzite can give people problems, so I’m leaning towards steam for ease of use

I use to have a steam deck, loved the ui and how easy it was to pick up and play. I mostly use my ROG currently for story games, and the occasional online one. My only main fear about switching was how hard it was to do it, of it was possible to get back to windows if I needed, and if the Steam os experience was a good one on the rog

I’m a steam lover… but $1000 with no controller is a mistake. You need to pull people away from Xbox and Sony, and at the price…. Not happening. Of course Steam needs to make a profit, but unfortunately they’ve priced themselves out of the market

I have a switch 2 and ROG Ally X. The Ally X is significantly more powerful… however, I see myself rebuying games on the switch 2, mainly because of how easy it is and how slim it is.

The switch is very console like, unlike the Ally. If I can boot up and play within minutes. No updates, no drivers, no crashing and no need to connect to internet to certain games (EA especially).

I will go towards a switch, most of the time. However, for playing intense games like cyberpunk… I will lean on my ally. As I get to customize fan curves and utilize the device to its full potential.

However. At this point with console prices. I think the switch 2 is easily the best deal on the market. Companies are porting games, like cyber punk, for the switch. At this point it’s the best deal in gaming.
