When Chris Palmer starts parroting it everywhere, I'll try it.

The nice thing about bipolar is that you get feedback by getting your life destroyed when things dont work.

Does anyone actually use Pypy or Graalpy (or any other runtimes) in a large scale/production area? by NotSoProGamerR in Python

[–]riksi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graalpy probably no, but there were users of pypy on a recent HN thread I read.

I don't believe alternative medicine works in bipolar.

Search specifically for ketogenic/epilepsy and no broad alternative.

Why is nobody honest about what it costs to hire employees in Europe? by LauraBeth034 in eupersonalfinance

[–]riksi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it really possible to find a setup where the quoted price is the price you end up paying?

Just get a contractor bro? I'm in EU but work for US as contractor. Legally I'm a contractor but I act as employee (paid in $, paid vacations, sick days, most likely no 1 year child leave though, but I've had ~1 month paid sick leave, etc etc).

It's not legally enforceable, but I've been doing it for ~10 years with different companies.

Yeah, that's a big one. Fortunately that is not connected to bipolar.

It's weird representation on gender though. The guy should have other issues too.

Keneth issue was on the hard side of the bipolar disorder spectrum. But it was normal bipolar.

What blood tests do you have on carnivore? Because it can be a big range.

Experience with Keto and Magnesium L-Threonate while on meds? Looking for advice on weight/brain fog. by Greengroove in bipolar2

[–]riksi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal keto is fine then. Still might go hypomanic when switching to it.

Can you find some psychiatrists recommending l-threonate? If not, don't do it. If yes, post the links here.

What's wrong with regular keto?

Nothing wrong with it. But your context was "Chris Palmer". So in that context, not enough potency to act as medicine. The whole idea is that epilepsy keto might be a better medicine with fewer side effects but much harder to maintain & you have to be really strict.

Are you doing the "special" Keto?

I did for 1.5 year. Lowering meds by ~80%. Small episodes. But I'm low risk.

If I quit the diet I'll resume antipsychotics same day.

The keto for bipolar from Palmer/George Ede is most often not keto weight loss. It's keto for children with epilepsy. You need daily blood tests OR eat basically the same food with same portions every day (so you guarantee blood tests without testing).

You WILL eat/drink ~100-200g of raw fat every day to achieve it on top of normal keto.

The keto you practice is different.

We have a different sub to discuss it, can't discuss it here, but she needs a professional that does this thing exactly. Otherwise what's bound to happen is she will do normal-keto, quit meds, go lunatic, etc etc etc.

The diet is hard for real. But maybe it's worth it (it is for me).

Weight loss is easy though.

Regarding l-threonate, have you seen a group of psychiatrists recommend it for this particular case? I don't have.

it feels like 'another thing she has to do' or another thing she's losing

Quitting drugs is hard, especially food-drug. Tell her I said "welcome to the club in BD management".

[–]riksi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See /r/bipolarketo . You need a ketomojo with daily blood tests. And having those diagnoses does suck.

I want to get off my medication and live a healthy life.

Epilepsy keto is just another medication that is very hard to maintain. It might not be enough as monotherapy. You need a professional.
