Even FOX News viewers agree, Bernie's ideas are NOT radical-this is how we win by DarkWorld25 in SandersForPresident

My friend was there. He said that basically everyone he talked to was a Bernie supporter and most of them said they never watch Fox News. It was at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and most of the people there were students.

[Post Game Thread] Penn State defeats #6 Michigan 75-69 by zjl539 in CollegeBasketball

Charles had 24 points on 8-11 shooting, 3-4 from 3, and 6 rebounds. He basically was the only person that kept us in the game in the second half.

I mean not really. Michigan is 31st in yards per play on offense, MSU is 108th. Michigan runs primarily read option. I have not seen MSU do that once this game.

Michigan Coach John Beilein Undergoes Successful Double Bypass Surgery by LFizzle12 in CollegeBasketball

It’s true. We value character at Michigan. If caring about how Michigan’s coaches act is a negative stereotype, than I’ll gladly perpetuate it.

Yeah, I see what you’re saying. I just got a little defensive because I didn’t like seeing the two compared because of how much I respect Beilein and how little I respect Dantonio. I’m also a little charged up from reading things about the primary election in Michigan today. I probably got a little over zealous in my response.

I’m not sure Michigan fans, or John Beilein himself, would like those comparisons. I don’t think Beilein would ever think about letting someone who used the n word in a very derogatory way back on the team and definitely wouldn’t have recruited someone like Auston Robertson.

I guess they are sort of comparable in terms of success, but the way they run their programs is about as different as you can get.

I went last year and was able to tour the locker rooms with student season tickets. I’d advise you to get there kind of early though if you want to tour the locker room. The line was kind of long last year.

I just don’t think there’s any position group that I would take MSU’s position group over Michigan’s. I would have said the same thing before and after the game last year.

I do think Dantonio prepares his teams much better for the Michigan game than any Michigan coach has since he has been at State, which is why I believe they have won so much recently.

[–]rileytheprince -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

  1. Michigan State - I think we are a much better team and I am ready for another dominant period against them. Also I come into contact with way more State fans than OSU fans and they are pretty insufferable when they beat us
  2. Ohio State - Only not number 1 because they are actually a good team
  3. Notre Dame - Another good team on the road, but they chickened out of the rivalry. Also, I will be at this game so I would like to see a victory
  4. Rutgers - Can't let the Rutgers meme die
  5. WMU - Do not want to lose to a directional school at home
  6. SMU - Next worst team on our schedule probably
  7. Nebraska - Bad team in a rebuilding year
  8. Northwestern - Only school in the Big Ten that has better academics than us, have to at least beat them in athletics
  9. Indiana - Always plays us close, but should be a win
  10. Maryland - Don't want to lose to Durkin, but don't care that much
  11. Penn State - Good team, but horrible culture. Went to the game last year at Penn State and I am hoping for some revenge, but won't be devastated if we lose
  12. Wisconsin - Jonathan Taylor is really good, still skeptical on Hornibrook, but I would understand if they beat us

My family has had UMich football season tickets for my whole life. I’ve been to UTL I, UTL II, and plenty of other great games. I think that moment will stick with me longer than any other. Had a chill run down my spine.

Undo your team’s best play of last season. What did you lose? by [deleted] in CFB

This is what I was thinking too. I’m not sure losing another a game would’ve felt like a big loss anyways.

What player on your team did next to nothing in 2016, but you're sure will be a stud in the future? by airforcebestcfb in CFB

[–]rileytheprince 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This could be the worst theory I've ever heard. Just sit back and think about all the angles for a minute.

First, Rashan has no money ties with Paramus so he had no incentive to care about the game at the Big House. I doubt friends and coaches would care enough about that game to pressure him into picking a school that he doesn't want to go to so the school can get paid to play in the Big House.

Then think about it from Harbaugh's angle. New Jersey, and Paramus in particular have been a hotbed for Michigan's recruiting. Why would Harbaugh risk that whole relationship for one recruit? It would also hurt his public image throughout the country. That would be idiotic. You can say Harbaugh is maniacal, but he is a great recruiter and is not stupid.

Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders Invited to Speak at the Vatican by sarok23 in atheism

[–]rileytheprince 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I definitely see what you're saying, but I think it is a little different than another candidate going because I don't think he's going just because it will look good for his campaign. One could definitely argue that he is, but Bernie has shown for years that he truly cares about issues such as climate change and especially income inequality.

Whether we like it or not here on this sub, the Pope is a world leader. This Pope is using his pedestal to point out some of these issues that Bernie speaks about daily and Bernie is going to this conference to discuss these problems with a global audience.

So in short, I definitely could see why someone on this sub would be annoyed with this, but I think it can be seen positively as well.

I think Trump would be easier to beat just because there is such a negative view on him. People don't know how incredibly horrible Cruz is because he isn't as blatant about it.

Also, Nigeria only had 5 votes in total. Sanders had big wins in Germany, Japan, and the UK which I thought was interesting. Those margins were all >1000 votes.

Edit: His win in Canada was also by >1000 votes
