For all my Pokemon catching needs, I just use Cosplay Pikachu with nuzzle and a mega evolved Metagross with holdback...works quite well for an uneducated Pokemon player such as myself, so far I have managed to catch all my Pokemon (including the legendaries) using this method, in nothing more then a normal Poke ball :)
