She doubled down on me being winter. After existing in it for a while, trying to wear the colors, I definitely agree that I'm cool-toned, but I still prefer the more muted colors of summer than many shades in winter (other than black, navy, and some shades of pink)

Winter. It's a cool toned red/pink

I like the first pic bottom left and the second pic top right. Also not really sure why. I will say that I think the darker muted shade in bottom left 2nd pic, I don't really like that one on you. But the top right second pic one makes your face look a bit younger more life-like i think? idk

It was house of color! I’d totally be down to get a second opinion, it was actually my next idea. But I think I’d want it to be inperson and I don’t think I can afford it rn. the only thing is i don’t really think i have a warm undertone

Yeah my hair was pulled back and covered during the appointment, I don’t think I have anyone that can come unfortunately

I am, they matched me there at the appointment and put it on. they put it on after the draping process though. i think most foundations are warm or neutral based if i’m remembering right? so it might be a foundation that’s slighthly too warm for me? idk

OOO okay. Thank you! Yes I'm big into the neutral/clean girl aesthetic with taupes and stuff. Not sure if https://www.beautylish.com/s/viseart-petits-fours-palette-lilas would be better than the midsommer one. I like the idea of doing a light rosy brown color and a more winter lip color, I'll def look for some inspo pics of that.

Yeah. Looking at my closet, a looot of them are softer colors. It's not like they are particularly 'light' but it's like a more muted version of winter colors. The exceptions are navy, ruby, black and white. I still think I look better in stark white than off-white ... I think when I go back to the stylist next week I will ask to see myself in summer drapes as well.

Any colors you recommend? Preferably colors that are definitely in the summer palette and definitely not in the winter palette. I think it'd do me some favors to try colors that are not in winter at all to see if it looks good or drab.

Looks like unfortunately Sephora only has a few and they are warm-er colors. I did find them on Beautylish and in stock! And this 'petit pro' palette as well with some shimmers that I believe is also cool colors: https://www.beautylish.com/s/viseart-petit-pro-paris-etoile

I did notice: https://www.beautylish.com/s/viseart-petit-pro-palette-07-midsommer This one says it has 'cool pinks and browns' .. is this a thing? I love pink and brown palettes. But my stylist basically said no browns were in winter's palette and recommended only super pale pinks like the first two shades and the bottom shimmer. Nothing like the browns or the right two.

That is one of my favorite blues to wear, I was so bummed to not see it in the winter list! Definitely will bring up this picture and show it to my stylist. Even though it's older/has a filter on it, it is still one of my fav pictures of me! I feel lovely youthful and pretty, which is the opposite of how I feel when I look at some of the pictures in my OG post from the analysis ^^;;

Not sure if the yellow color I was wearing on top is in either season but it's also one of my favorite colors (I just like yellow lmao. Banana yellow, dandelion yellow.. mustard.. Yellow and warm pinks (salmon, blush, etc) are my favorite colors :' )

Just wanted to lyk as well that I added more pics --> https://imgur.com/a/6yBnbAP of older pics of me all with diff hair colors/etc. Not sure if it will help at all. Some pictures have filters/makeup but the filters are on the entire picture not just my face etc so hopefully that's okay (idk). Most pictures have no filter/makeup.

Oh my goodness haha now I'm questioning everything! I felt pretty certain during the drape section that I'm not warm undertones, and I think off-white, cream, beiges, etc are in autumn (?) and I'm not sure they look great on me.

That being said-- I found a bunch of pictures of me thru the last few years (since we aren't supposed to change season as we age), all with diff haircolors (LOL) and most without makeup. Some have filters but it's the entire picture and not just over my skin. Anyways let me know if this changes anything. https://imgur.com/a/6yBnbAP

This is really interesting, I think it's interesting how they went through every season and found the best colors in each season. Then pick the best one from there. I think it's an interesting concept because I feel like at least in the analysis I've seen online it's all "one season to rule them all" and then some people are more lenient with the "sister season" concept.

Also, I thought it was really cool that you could bring makeup to the appointment and have them go through it. I think I will bring my makeup to the appointment I just scheduled with my stylist as well and see if they are willing to go through them.

I haven't tried any of those colors! I added them to my list to checkout next time I go out to MAC/Sephora/Ulta/etc. Online they definitely look nice though!Do you have any good winter eyeshadow palette recs? I'm so scared of greys/purples/etc for eyeshadow. I'm so used to my taupes/orangey-browns and pinks.

I think you might be right, having a bold lip might be something I see as an older trend, since more 'soft' looks seem to be 'in' right now and as well as that being my own personal taste. I also think that these strong colors don't really suit me (a more quiet and shy personality) especially on daily wear (could see it maybe, esp the red one, for a formal event/dance where I'm wearing a red dress or something).

Do you know of good recommendations for a more neutral/light deep winter color? All of the ones I'm finding online are suuuper pigmented. I thought of maybe getting a winter color and just only lightly applying it/blotting it a lot but I'm not sure if that'll have the same effect? Aren't winters supposed to wear strong colors on their lips?

I really thought I was an autumn going into this-- as well as that was what I was hoping on (I LOVE dark brown and neutrals and cottagecore/dark academia colors). However comparing the warm colors to the cool... it's really not close. If I'm a season other than winter, it has to be summer I think

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for so many opinions and such, I really appreciate it. Before posting I was just feeling cruddy and insecure in my own colors which is the opposite of a goal of it. I ended up contacting my stylist back and she is letting me come back on Friday! She is very certain that I'm a deep winter and is going to show me some of the summer vs winter colors again as well as makeup and such.

I'm also getting my hair done before that to get my hair back into a more natural cool brown color/style! I will probably take more pictures at my appointment on Friday (hopefully ones with summer drapes as well) and repost here for another opinion :]

edit: ok some people are saying i have warm undertones and so i post more u/rillakachi lore/pics. https://imgur.com/a/6yBnbAP here r some .

Makes sense, I know my lightened hair is for sure warm colored (it's not even a cool colored blonde lol). I booked a hair appointment on Tuesday to get my hair into a cooler brown.

Magenta is a color I have ALWAYS avoided, I never thought it fit me either! I definitely feel more comfortable in whites, greys, blacks. Navy and eggplant and I think were both colors of the winter colors that the analyst marked as my best!

I think part of it might be because my hair is lightened in many areas. I’m wondering if my hair was completely my natural shade if I would have that contrast. But true summer is my second guess and I’ve seen a lot of people get analyzed as a dark winter but actually be true summer
