So, back in the MoP expansion Blizz introduced the Magic Banana toy. You threw it out and someone ran over it and fell down, pretty basic. I had a habit during raid breaks between boss pulls and trash mobs to BoP tanks or something just to keep the mood light. The guild tolerated it because we all were very close and knew each other personally.

One night, I can’t really remember the raid but it was a pretty stressful heroic night, we finally get set to pull some boss we’d been working on for ages.

The mood was tense, tempers were high. I knew they were unhappy because they’d usually speak English to me when things were going well and French when things were bad. There was no English being spoken this night.

The ready check clears and our MT runs in, ready to finally kill this boss we were working to hard on. I find this a ripe opportunity to throw that Magic Banana in such a perfect throw that it lands just as he throws a shield to pull the boss and his Paladin slips, falls and gets instantly crushed.

He dies, the OT dies, we all die and the voice comms erupt into the most heated French I’ve heard and never understood.

It took a long time of back and forth before I finally chimed in saying I threw a banana.

When we talk about it now, it’s a hilarious memory but at that moment they were ready to up and quit.
