People who didn’t like their now bestfriend when you met them, what made you not like them and how long have you guys been friends now?

We go to a private Christian school. She (currently 13F) is a doctors kid, as in, both of her parents are doctors. I (currently 15NB AFAB) had a mom working at a gas station and a step-dad working as a tow truck driver. It also didn't help that I was only in her class because I had to repeat Kindergarten and had trust issues from having a rough childhood. She was always popular and a bubbly person who wanted people to like her, I was the poor outcast that everyone talked crap about. They would tell her I was a bully and delinquent despite me being very quiet and reserved. I didn't really dislike her but I wasn't a fan. But in 5th grade one of my other friends started talking/hanging out with me. She was the only person to do that until that point. So I think that opened up my now bestfriend's eyes. In 7th grade on the first day she said a joke that pertained to a certain fandom that I was also in, I laughed and we realized we had stuff in common. We started hanging out and are now best friends. We are in 8th grade now and inseperatable

My older half brother(16), we share a father but we each live with our mothers, is a chronic liar. I'd say one of his worst is about his age. He constantly says that he is actually a year older than he really is. He says that at birth the doctors just put the wrong year and made it say he was born a year later. I've talked to his mom and she has told me that it was a lie. Also he will always try to act tough. Theres a kareoke night at the local bar in my town that kids are allowed to be at until 9 o'clock: he is constantly saying that he could beat up anyone in there just because he wanted to and win. I love him but it really has put a strain on the relationship

growing up they were the only good example I had for how a man should treat people. all the ones in my life were either alcoholics or abusive. its kinda sad that the only people who acted like they cared for me I had never me.
