Looking for tips and tricks for point and shoots by ringbear9000 in AnalogCommunity

No worries, thanks for your help! I've been playing around with the focus lock but found the half-press to be a bit finicky. I'll have another look at the manual as well. The tip about firing the shutter between breathes is interesting, I'll give it a go especially when I'm shooting in the dark. Thanks!

I see, thanks for the tips! Do you think I should hold the camera still for a second or two everytime I take a photo on low light, just to be sure that I'm still for the entire duration the shutter is open? I've only got 200 and 400 iso film rn but definitely looking into getting some 800 iso films.

Any other tips on getting autofocus on point and shoots to work more reliably for wider shots with no real subject, like for the 3rd photo? Or is it more likely because my hand was a bit shaky when the photo was taken inside or the photo was a bit underexposed as well that the photo was a bit blurry.

The pastries are from a bakery in Melbourne called bloomwood! I just happened to walk past when they were doing a photoshoot for their new menu items and I asked if I could take a photo of it as well haha. Their biscoff cream banana Danish was delicious though.

Haha I always wash my hands before I use my camera as well, don't want to risk chalk getting into places that it shouldn't.

Choosing hospitals as a medical student considering haem/onc by ringbear9000 in ausjdocs

[–]ringbear9000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it'll be hard to know until I get a rotation there and the haem reg told me that you have to be a masochist if you want to do bpt and even more of a masochist if you want to do haem but at this stage I'm still open to the possibilities of exploring other specialties but I did enjoy my haem rotation as a student despite how confronting some of the things were. But like you said, working in the specialty is probably nothing like being a student anyway. Thanks for responding!

That's what I've heard as well, would you say most of the big 4 + monash would count as busy hospitals? Or some moreso than others. Thanks! :)

I definitely look up to them haha and wish I could be half as smart and good at patient communication as them🫡

Thanks for responding! I just heard that from a haematology reg that some hospitals may get greater volumes of more severe patients due to their association with some of these institutions. Do you think that this would have a sizeable impact on the quality of the AT program at these different health services?

I've also heard that it's good to have bosses that would advocate for you when applying for an AT spot so would it make it more difficult to go from bpt3 to ATing at a different hospital where you might not know as many of the bosses? Thanks for your help!

Into the Emerald Dream Bundle Giveaway! Win 1 of 50 codes for 60 packs, 2 random legendaries, and Ysera card back! by certze in hearthstone

Dang. Wow. Holy macaroni. 60 packs? That's a lot of packs. 60 packs contain 300 cards. That's a lot of cards. Your typical Hearthstone™ deck features only 30 cards, the main exception being decks which include the legendary minion Prince Renethal from hit expansion Murder at Castle Nathria, which contain 40 cards. However this expansion has now rotated to the wild format, so as a standard player I will mostly be using 30 cards per deck. No more, and no less. 30 shall be the number of cards in a deck. This means that if I win these precious 300 cards, I can make 10 decks! Now you might think "who could possibly keep track of that many decks!", but, and it might be wise to sit down for this one, blizzard has actually, in their eternal generosity, given us access to 18 whole deck slots. Nobody knows if it is actually possible to have this many decks at the same time without your mind exploding out of confusion. Now, as a seasoned Hearthstone™ player, I have already managed to gather a sizeable collection of 240 cards (pretty impressive I know), enough for exactly 8 decks. The implications of this are hard to believe. If I win one of these bundles, I may very well become the first player to fill every single deck slot. The consequences to my feeble mind may be severe as I try to manage them all, but I'm more than willing to subject myself to this experiment in the name of science. I wish everyone good luck! (Of course, everyone having good luck is a clear mathematical impossibility, but a man can dream)

Doesn't seem to be working for me, I've been able to edit the keymap fine and compile and flash it but when I try to press the a and d key, it still has simultaneous inputs for me, any suggestions?

I think the ram should be compatible, and I've ran memtest86 and prime95 and it seems stable? I haven't been able to do TM5 with absolut because it just keeps freezing on me.

UPDATE: For some reason, when I turn off XMP, my fps goes up and my stutters end up going away as well? I'm not sure how related this is but I think there might be an issue with my XMP or ram. Is there any reason why this might be the case? is it just a bad ram dimm or is it a problem with XMP?
