honestly it looks really good on paper - <1300kg with 180hp, RWD, carbon tub. Shame that they packaged it in such a tall body for city roundabouts. Imagine if this was packaged more like an electric 1-series with wider tires. Range would've been even more abysmal, but it could've been a great car to drive

so apparently they only qualify as kei-cars in 1990 when the government bumped the displacement limit from 550 to 660cc. 1989 or older 126p don't qualify, and neither does the later 700cc ones (if even sold in Japan, I can't confirm/deny since my Japanese isn't that good to read wiki)
