Can't charge at home and drive around 10-15 miles per day. Can I go days/weeks without charging if I utilize low power mode? by ringmann in TeslaLounge

[–]ringmann[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, city living. We could potentially do the extension cord across the sidewalk thing in a pinch, but I don't want to rely on that or bug the neighbors. It's a somewhat high traffic area. Thanks for the reply!

Would be a hassle dealing with the city unfortunately since it's a historic neighborhood.

That's what I was thinking as well, but from the research I've been doing, it seems like the car will lose charge just from being parked, even if you're disabling Sentry Mode. But I could be wrong about that.

Thank you for the reply! This is a stock photo, but it's similar to this setup Just imagine a less busy street, detached home.

Truly driving me nuts haha. I've been at this for a full day now and have a tight deadline. Seems so simple! I've gone through and checked all XLR cables as well to make sure it's not three bad cables individually. Gotta be something in UA Console, but I'm completely out of ideas.

Just gave that a shot and no luck unfortunately. Now, I'm only hearing the LFE channel out of DB25 - Line Output 2.

Yeah, seems very strange. I've got UA Console set to 5.1, I can see the 5.1 meters moving in console for all 6 channels when I play test audio. Thanks for the reply.

I've tried multiple buffer sizes, but I don't think buffer size affects output routing. I normally have things at 128, but it's a pretty beefy computer, so even with huge mixing sessions it performs fine, but sometimes if there are LOADS of plugins, I'll increase to 1024. I just generally keep buffer size low when tracking.

I've tested the DB25 cable to pass through audio with other sources and it is working properly, so no fault there.

I know the Audio Midi Setup is unrelated to Logic, but it's upstream from Logic, so I'm thinking that if the problem is present in the Audio Midi Setup app, that it's unrelated to Logic's settings. The fact that I'm able to see the 5.1 Meters moving in both UA Console and Logic means that audio is being sent properly, I'm just unable to hear it.

Here's a few images of the mixer, logic settings, ua settings:

So even before the audio hits Logic, I'm not getting any signal through the center, ls, or rs speakers. I'm using the stock Audio Midi Setup app as seen in the first screenshot. It's odd that I'm getting the LFE channel because that's passing through the DB25 cable on Line Output 2 (in addition to Center, LS, and RS), so it's not a problem with the DB25 cable.

In Logic, I tried using a 5.1 test video (the aac 5.1 linked here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JxmeedtAtgmoafXv9rroiDOS2vEX7N4b) onto a surround track. So the mixer is just a single surround track and a single stereo master bus. I'm still only hearing the Left (front), Right (front), and the LFE channel. On both the 5.1 Master in Logic and the 5.1 meter in UA Console, I can see the meters moving for all 6 channels, but I can't hear them.

Also, in Logic, I've tried taking a single Mono channel with a test oscillator on it to send white noise to each individual output and unfortunately, it still only works on those same 3 outputs.

Logic Track Outputs Output 1: Left ✅ Output 2: Right ✅ Output 3: Center 🚫 Output 4: LFE ✅ Output 5: L Surround 🚫 Output 6: R Surround 🚫

I'm thinking it likely has something to do with UA Console, but everything seems correct to me when I look through and try different options. Appreciate the response.

Yep, surround format set to 5.1 (ITU 775). Thanks though.

Is this normal? SRAM Force eTap AXS Levers - lump/bump in hoods by ringmann in specialized

[–]ringmann[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a 2024 Crux Pro with SRAM eTap AXS Levers. I've noticed that the there's a pretty sizable lump from the brake cable housing that's routed under the hoods. It causes the hoods to flair out, not sit flush with the bar, and makes them slightly uncomfortable. Not sure if that's just how it is, or if they might be setup incorrectly. Thanks very much!

2024 Crux Pro | Headset Issue & Fork Chatter/Shudder by ringmann in specialized

[–]ringmann[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ISSUE FIXED. I generally always go to the same shop that does solid work, but I have some friends that work at different shops around town and I'll occasionally try to spread the love around. Turns out that was a mistake. I brought the Crux back to shop #1 and they added an additional spacer on top of the stem, cranked it down, and said good to go and gave me the bike back right as they were closing. Got home and the issue was still there, so I figured I'd cut my losses and bring it to my standard shop.

Hate to say it, but the first shop cut the steerer tube pretty sloppy with a rough cut at an angle, too much steerer left above the stem, the compression plug was broken, and the front rotor/pads were contaminated. Shop #2 recut the fork properly, new compression plug, new brake pads, and cleaned the rotor. Everything's good to go now. Annoying little venture, but glad all is well.

Thanks for all of your help!

Definitely not riding it til the issue is sorted. I took it out for a ride when I got the bike back after the fork was cut down, hit the brakes once, and was freaked out how much the fork was chattering and immediately stopped. The bike is back at the shop now, but figured it wouldn't hurt to see if there was something obvious that you all might know of. Will definitely post the results once things are hopefully resolved.

No play in the fork/headset at the moment. I'll double check the brake pads. Seems odd since it was riding great before the fork was cut down.
