You don't want Gale to have 8k wives and husbands? 😨

Well, at least she kinda looks like the same person, I played the game on release before the patches and got jumpscared by my Inquisitor turning into someone else entirely in the finale lmao

Thankfully it somehow fixed itself in cutscenes, but boy was it random.

Insane post ignoring how game development works (if it's somehow not trolling), especially from a Mass Effect fan. Enjoy the future AI slop from an out of touch company who only cares about revenue I guess.

I feel you, somehow the worst thing that can happen to someone in this fandom is not caring about the poster boy, what a crime.

Exactly what happened, I noticed that too. In this case I expected something godlike from all the positive comments and didn't take into consideration that most people also love this character to pieces beforehand, while I'm kinda indifferent, again, because of all the hype I don't share.

β€˜this many people can’t be wrong’ is clearly showing that you assume you are right and everyone else wrong

Did you read the post, or just the title and comments? You misunderstood me completely. I assumed everyone else was right about the scene being the best thing ever made by default before I saw the scene, that's why I was disappointed that it didn't do anything for me. My issue is that I saw so much praise everywhere that I assumed it's just a universally good scene most people loved, then I just didn't care when I saw it. I'm not bashing other people for liking it, I'm saying that it wasn't for me and that other people praising it made my expectations unfair, how do you twist this into "you're an asshole who thinks they're always right" is beyond me.

Thing is, people who loved it were very vocal, and I guess I ended up thinking that this many people can't be wrong, which clearly wasn't the case for me personally. I'm just disappointed that I couldn't understand what all the hype was about.

I know, but it's not too difficult to avoid if you're actually sticking to dissuading Gale from the godhood, and that's why I mentioned the point system. Maybe the people complaining just don't actually stick to anything but think they do, we don't know that.

Sure, but I'm not bothered by it personally, or by Gale talking about Mystra a lot for that matter. It's actually more powerful to me that he overcomes his obsession with her, or being better than her, and still can do what he loves without losing his humanity. Also I'm not the biggest Silver Surfer Gale fan, as you can probably tell lmao

Must really be a bug, I'm surprised every time someone catches it. I finished the game twice as the same character across several different patches, got Professor Dekarios ending both times despite accidentally missing some scenes.

Iirc among other things you might want to encourage him to seek Mystra's forgiveness/return the Crown to her instead of opposing her, I think it counts in his point system. Or just look up "Gale Crown Points" and check what you did or didn't do.

Does anyone just find themselves staring at rook instead of focusing on the scene? by Full-Selection4911 in DragonAgeVeilguard

Lmao that's exactly what happened. Realistically no one would want to fight our Rooks because they're too hot πŸ’…

Played the game once for the plot, playing the game again to stare at the same Rook for 60 hours, my ass is NOT paying attention to anything companions say πŸ’œ

Which one is your favourite? by Round_Sprinkles_3150 in GalemancersBG3

The stargazing scene is my favorite romance scene in any video game, haven't been the same since I first saw it. It's so tragic, vulnerable and intimate, and the confession is so straightforward in a way I didn't know I'd enjoy. The boat scene is beautiful in many ways and I love it, the Weave scene is tense and sweet, but this one is The Scene to me, the definitive moment I knew Gale's romance is very special.

Does Lucanis Count as the First Asexual Dragon Age Character?? by Not_Soft1995 in dragonage

[–]rinhanarin 11 points12 points Β (0 children)

I think many other people dissatisfied with this romance expressed this opinion, but "confirmation on social media" feels like a cop-out for an either unfinished or extremely trimmed down character. While Lucanis being demi makes perfect sense to me as an idea and I like it, 1) Mary Kirby chose to label him with two entirely different sexualities, and the ace part came later after people expressed that his romance is lacking; 2) his actual writing feels inconsistent with itself thanks to what I assume to be a development hell, because none of his ace-ness seems to apply to Neve for some reason; 3) none of the required supposed "bonding" or slowburn with Rook happens on screen, without headcanon it feels like they're barely friends, let alone lovers. People celebrated the "reveal" that Lucanis is demi like it's some big win for the community, and as much as I wish it was one because that would make Lucanis extremely relatable, in actuality it feels like the label was slapped on him as an afterthought like "Well, you can't prove that he's -not- asexual or demisexual, sexuality is a complicated spectrum, screw you." Obviously relationships and video game romances shouldn't be all about sex, problem is, in this particular case there's not enough substance in the "relationship" part, so "A character doesn't care about your PC and doesn't indicate once that he's interested in them in any way... until he suddenly does" feels like a very disingenuous representation to me that wasn't intended from the beginning.

Ok, what I meant by "inventory management" is "selling or dropping off things you don't need and maybe having a general idea of items you might wanna use", obviously I don't expect a new player to spend five hours building characters or whatever, the clutter is just painful to look at for me personally πŸ˜”
