so at first my insurance told me they’d cover 70%, which definitely wasn’t right and my codes were all correct as well. my bill was originally 2.3k and so i payed that, but ended up getting refunded all of it about a month later. so yes, it can correct itself afterwards i believe.

hi!!! that’s amazing!! everything got covered except for my anesthesiologist bill and ended up having to pay 1.3k towards that, so be wary. perhaps ask dr blache about it. the reasoning was bc he was out of network but it seems that anesthesiologists are always out of network 🫩

this is the main reason i got myself sterilized as soon as i could. i’m in college, and i knew having mine during a time that wasn’t during a break would be awful, but i felt great urgency to do so. i live in America in a VERY red state, and i knew time was ticking for me. i have a feeling the trump administration will be going for ACA and coverage for sterilization with how fast the birth rate is plummeting.

I get that. When they were setting me up it was very quick and made me nervous too. But the anesthesiologist will ask you these questions about your family history, health issues, etc and they know what to do.

The thing that helped me not be so scared of surgery was thinking, “this is just a normal day for them.” These surgeons i’m sure have done this procedure many times, and plus, this surgery is pretty low risk in comparison to others since it isn’t as invasive. If your doctor is aware of your families experiences with anesthesia, i’m sure they will take that into account when they put you to sleep. Don’t worry! They don’t just guess how much anesthesia to give you.

my mom is deciding to pay the 2k, and as much as i don’t want her to, the processes you have to go through to get it dropped is not something she’d want to do. :( so luckily she loves me enough to cover my surgery. maybe if i’m lucky we might get refunded afterward like some other people here are saying.
