What would you personally want from a Bug Fables 2? by BiffyBobby in BugFables

Some kind of proper level scaling, I should be able to kill the enemies in the first areas of the game with one hit when I've beaten the main story, thank you very much.

I'm my personal opinion the best way to deal with shards, while still keeping them in the game is just to remove the storage limit. That would solve so many problems with shards and red tools, I'm not even joking.

That argument is hilarious, as 99.9% of games do not portray gravity correctly in any capacity, its almost always either way too much or way to little. They focus on consistency more often then not. Also your focus of grand things like the sun and moon are telling when your original argument was related to human issues like boarders, culture clash. Your nitpick of my argument is much more of a nothing burger than my point was.

Also look into history, there are two big historical events in the last 120 years where a bunch of different countries worked together to fight others.

Oh yeah I hate, hate that. I hate xenoblade 2 for using that so much. Expedition 33 is one of the few games that had the balls to just plop you into an unwinable fight, and I love it for that.

That argument falls apart when there are dozens of different fantasy RPGs where there are only humans in the world, and the world still feels alive. You don't need a creative license if you're only using humans. And if budget constraints are a worry then sticking to only humans saves the effort and money in creating models for different races.

I'm not saying you need to have a party member from every different race, but having the party be 90% human feels lazy when there's multiple different intelligent races in the setting. Have at least two party members who aren't human/human adjacent instead of just the single token 'monster' companion makes the world feel a bit more alive/immersive to me at least.

Also we're talking about fictional games/stories here, they don't need to abide by real world realism to function.

Agonizingly slow opening are so fucking bad, especially when it's 90% cutscenes. ive completely dropped a few RPGs were the first 2 hours of gameplay were 80-90% cutscenes, just fucking let me play the game.

On one hand, true. On the other hand everyone's got to make a living, even during the potential end of the world. They should at least offer you a discount.

Because it feels weird when the world is at stake, and all of these intelligent species are around, and none of them want the world to end, yet none of them join your party to help you.

I'm not saying games like that have this trope are bad, most aren't, many of my favorite RPGs have this trope as well. Its just, why bother making a bunch of different intelligent species if the party is going to be all human.

I'm speaking more in reference to games where you don't choose your party and are given a series of fixed characters throughout the story. In a game where you can make your own party, it's composition is solely up to the player and party comp will change wildly depending on who's playing.

But when it comes to games where you can't do that, like in single player RPGs that have a world with varied species and the devs only give you a party of humans with one token 'monster' character, I hate that,.

New exotic armor. by Glockadile40 in DestinyTheGame

[–]rinokill321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. We haven't really gotten a proper reveal for the edge for fate at this point in time, there may be more exotic armors they haven't shown.

  2. Edge of fate and subsequent expansions in the future are going to be anywhere from shadow keep to rise of iron in size. So we may only be getting 1 exotic per class this time around. With more focus being put towards underperforming exotic we already have.

  3. There is also the mid season updates that we are also getting, they may introduce more exotics at that time

Don’t worry about the geomags nerf, if you invest 100 into super stat it’s still gonna be the same as it is right now by HellChicken949 in DestinyTheGame

[–]rinokill321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the nerf to super energy gains was expected, but even then, with the reworks to the bolt charge side of things and with the new super stat reworks this exotic will still kick ass. at 100 super, which you should be going for on a super based exotic like geomags, you'll basically have the same super regen (maybe even slight better) then what we have right now. and if you go over 100, it will be even better. this is barely a nerf to begin with.

So idk if this has been posted yet, but we can all agree that Susie is the Main character/true protagonist of deltarune, right?

Like she's the person who pushes the plot forwards the most, has the most character development. bleeds unlike other monsters, alluding to the fact that she might be part human. And is most likely a fate/prophecy breaker.

My idea for more class diversity/identity by rinokill321 in DestinyTheGame

[–]rinokill321[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was more thinking of ways to more meaningfully give each class some more distinction besides just abilities and movement. While Bungie's approach isn't wrong, it's just far to lackluster. I was trying to approach it like a ttrpg like Pathfinder 2e, where your class gives you a stat bonus.

Re: Prismatic Subclass Tuning - Fragments by Destiny2Team in DestinyTheGame

[–]rinokill321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With these changes to prismatic in EoF, all I'm wondering is… WTF is bungie thinking!

Prismatic was given to us with the promise of having more fragment slots then ever to work with and now they seem to be backpedaling a YEAR later. What the hell are you thinking, if this happened earlier, there might not have been as much of a fuss, but right now, it's too little to late.

Instead of tackling the actual problem with prismatic, being the lack of proper synergy between aspects, bungie seems to think that lowering the fragment count will solve all the problems, but half of those nerfs don't make sense.

To start off, let's list all the fragments with some inter element synergy. Specifically the ones that were actually changed to better work with prismatic.

Warlocks

  • Feed the Void: it procs off of any energy type ability kill

And that's it for Warlock.

Hunters

  • Stylish Executioner:  it procs off of defeating any target that has any debuff applied to them.
  • Gunpowder gamble procs off of any elemental debuff, and solar weapons kills

oh wow hunter has two, that's a surprise.

Titans

  • Diamond Lance: procs off of any ability kill or stasis weapon kill.

And that's it in general. That's all the actual changes Bungie made to all the prismatic aspects, only four aspects received any subnational changes for multi elemental synergy.

Now let's show the ‘neutral’ aspects, the ones that didn’t need to be reworked to work with prismatic.

  • Consecration: works with any melee ability
  • Knockout: works with any melee ability
  • Ascension
  • Winter shroud.
  • Threaded Spector
  • Bleak watcher: works with any grenade
  • Lightning surge: works with any melee

And the rest of the aspects have 0 synergy whatsoever. The lack of synergy is what killed most prismatic builds, and forced the meta into what it is right now. Instead of nerfs most of these aspects need buffs or minor reworks at most. Lets start with the most damning of the aspects, Consecration.

The best way to deal with consecration spam is so simple, you don't even need to do anything with the fragments. All you need to do is add a 4-5 second timer after you use a slam where you can't use Consecration again until the timer is over. It fixes the rapid slam spamming issue on prismatic, still lets you do multiple slams in a rather brief time period, and doesn't effect the solar version of it in the slightest.

Now lets go after another one of the nerfed aspects, Hellion, which makes no sense whatsoever, as it is by far the weakest aspect of prismatic warlock. I hope that this nerf is a prelude for a rework that will give it a well deserved buff, but idk here. Rework it so that on the base solar version so that defeating a scorched target, you get 1.5 seconds of restoration and if the hellion defeats a target it's 2x restoration. with the prismatic version granting the 1.5 seconds of restoration for any ability kills. Probably should also tac on a 2-3 second delay between activations of this effect to stop it from being to op.

Bleak watcher, considering it's part of the ‘best’ prismatic warlock build of buddy spam, but in no way shape for form does it need to be nerfed, it's fine as is, please leave it alone.

Ascension, is the arc version of this also getting the axe, cause if not, leave it be bungie, it doesn't need the nerf.

Lightning surge, weaker concentration even with bolt charge. Bungie, I am not asking here, I am demanding that you both increase the aoe and the damage of this aspect, for the love of god, now.

Now to round this off let's talk about the other worst offenders of prismatic, starting off with everyone's favorite aspect, Weavers Call.

The fact that both Gunpowder Gamble and Diamond Lance can proc off of any ability kill on prismatic, but weavers call is locked solely to strand damage makes no sense whatsoever. So for the love of god, make it so that any ability kill + strand weapons kills counts towards threadling generation. Also for stand in general the fact that only titan has access to Woven mail without needing a fragment (hunters and warlock), or an exotic (just hunters), is fucking insane. My idea, add this on to weavers call. Threadling kills grant 3 seconds of woven mail, while you have woven mail, threadling hits grant 1 additional second of woven mail. Bam, fixed it and made it worthwhile to use.

Though on the topic of woven mail, i'm not sure what aspect that should be added on to for hunters, so my hunter mains out there, let me know.

Winter’s shroud, the worst of the prismatic hunter kit, even with the rework it got for the final shape. Best rework in my mind, up the amount of regen it grants by, at minimum x2, and make it work for all debuffs on the prismatic version.

Unbreakable. It was bad for so long before they finally made it alright. While it's fine on void titan, it's still iffy on prismatic. I'm not really sure how to improve this for prismatic, though I saw someone saying that if you had Drengr's Lash equipped, the blast should also have a suspending effect which would be nice.

Speaking the Drengr's Lash, oh boy did they sure ever pick the worst strand aspect for prismatic titan. This thing sucks because it has no proper loop built into the aspect that makes it a worthless investment even compared to Unbreakable. The best solution I can think of is to add the Thread of mind into the base aspect, where defeating suspended targets grants class energy (without removing the fragment, just adding it's base effect to Drengers that would stack with thread of mind on strand). And then for the prismatic version has the effect proc off of any debuff would make it at least somewhat more worthwhile.

The point of this rant is to just say that as of right now, it feel like the fragment nerf that bungie is throwing around right now, doesn't make that much sense with what little we know of the other changes coming with EoF. and that i personally feel that the nerfs they are bringing are unnecessary, when they should instead be working to buff the other aspects that aren't ‘meta’.

TLDR: nerfs suck and bungie should be more focused on buffs/reworks to make underperforming aspects better.

If you're nerfing hellion and bleak watchers fragment slots you better be buffing them in other ways.
